GREEN LIGHT
Gazing at this green light
through this bare mirrormixed with the waters I am one
and I only desire to express what I feel.
The water ripples, softens, and contains a meaning,
a reality trapped like Dorian Gray
There is no need to fear. Traveling to the inside will put almost everything out.
Observing and telling you is what I cankeep doing.
Green Light

There is a poem by Linda Gregg which has the line
This is how you come to know heaven / when it is no longer / Possible
It’s been a while and I can’t find the title. Please let me know if you happen to know.
TIA!

I just wrapped up a poetry workshop course this semester and I had one of the greatest experiences of my life as a writer. I've had some great professors and inspirations during my college career and growing up, BUT this professor I had changed the way I viewed poetry and inspired me to see a future that breaks all walls and destroys the concepts of "impossible" and "limitations" in writing. she structure her class in such a liberating and experimental way that it invited and drew us in every step of the way until we were fully immersed in her process. the beauty of her process was how she wa ..read more

It was in an English class. I remember that the author described something like a sunset along with the stars and said something like, "not even that could compare to your beauty", I remember that there was a theme about a horse too, but I can't recall clearly.
My professor said that there isn't a cooler compliment that you could say to a girl than the one on the poem, hahaha. But I don't remember quite well... sorry if the details seem vague.

Talking about the World War I period, there were countless names of poets who wrote their poems on the trenches, battlefields, underground, etc,...except Frost because he was 40 at the time. I can recall some: Edward Thomas, Rupert Brooke, Siegfried Sassoon, Wilfred Owen, Isaac Rosenberg,...there were plenty.
So, in your opinion, who was the most outstanding/the best one so far during the WWI? My fav one would be Isaac Rosenberg.

This is the prompt for my SBAC that I am continuing tomorrow, and I do not know how to answer it/what evidence to give for either side. I am choosing to be on the side that rap music is poetry, but I was hoping I could have some help from people who enjoy poetry- what are your thoughts on this topic and how can I incorporate related evidence??
