I’m reading a young adult novel in Spanish. I thought it would help me learn at a vocabulary level that might be a bit easier. Not sure if it is easier, because I’m spending a lot of time with a dictionary just to make sense of it. It’s “Ciudades de Papel” (Paper Town, also a movie I think) by John Green. It’s my first intro to dialog marks in Spanish, so that’s helpful. Hi, I know it's not advisable to learn por vs para with strict rules, but one big rule that I've been told is that por is used for "reason" for something, and para is for the "purpose" of doing something. Sometimes, those are the same in English right? How do Spanish speakers distinguish razon and finalidad? For example, "Se caso con el ____ su dinero" .
