Here is the cloned repo I'm working in: https://github.com/mkrul/web-template (yes I'm aware this is using some VERY outdated conventions. I have plans to refactor this but right now I'm just trying to get things working as expected)
I've succeeded in creating a redux thunk that updates the currentUser's deliveryAddress, however, this change only populates in state after a hard refresh of the page.
This is the code in question (couldn't get code formatting to work here, sorry ?)
In the redux dev tools, I see the action to SET_DELIVERY_ADDRESS_REQUEST followed by SET_DELIVERY_ADDRESS_ERROR. Th ..read more

Hello all,
I realize 'difficulty' is subjective. With all the builders, ChatGPT and plugins, how difficulty (price, length, etc) would it be for someone to build a betting site. Asking merely technical (not legal, ethical, etc), for someone who can make basic e-commerce websites, would it be a whole new level of difficulty or can it be done with some basic knowledge? Ideally with Wordpress.
Thank you!

I just found out about Uppy and was thinking of using it. But it doesn't have S3 as source, only upload destination. The creator mentioned in few places that it's not priority and people should make custom plugin themselves.
Has anyone made a plugin to use S3 as source? Basically I want to allow users to select a file from S3-compatible storage.

Hey guys!
I am building an app to help programmers to learn prompting. It is called Prompt Forge and is available in the App Store.
The main idea of the app is to help programmers improve communication with ChatGPT and make precise coding decisions.
How it works:
You choose the language - Python(free), Kotlin or Go,
You write a prompt about the coding challenge you want to solve.
AI transforms your prompt into code and tests it.
You get feedback on your prompt and learn to improve with every attempt.
What do you think about this idea? Do you see value in learning AI prompting?

Hey everyone,
I'm on the lookout for a study partner to dive deep into the world of full stack web development with me. A bit about myself: I'm based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia .I'm not a complete beginner; I've got a little grasp of front end . However, I'm eager to enhance my skills, particularly in Tailwind CSS, JavaScript, Next JS and the MERN stack, with a focus on MongoDB.
If you're someone who's equally passionate about web development and is looking for a study buddy to keep each other motivated and accountable, let's team up! We can meet up, share resources, work on projects together, a ..read more

I'm sorry I'm a beginner here. GoDaddy is asking me to pay like 200 dollars for hosting a wordpress website. I did purchase the domain name from them for 40 dollars for 2 years. But now they are asking for an unreasonable amount for hosting. Mind you, I paid like 30 dollars for the whole thing at the start of this. What should I do ? I can't possibly pay that amount.

I've recently come across a website for the new overlord anime movie and I thought it looks really good. Some hand drawn elements and the background ember animation really made it pop for me. I have some idea on how to implement the other elements but I'm clueless on how to do the ember animation. Share some of great website designs or unique implementations of cool effects that you know of.

I'm new to Typesense, and was making a full-text search functionality, I expect that when the keyword is 'global' it will include the result such as golbal, globla....but it only return the exact match
let search = {
'q': 'global',
'query_by': ['title', 'description'],
}
client.collections('boxes')
.documents()
.search(search)
.then(function (searchResults) {
console.log(searchResults)
})
I may have missed something, can someone point out for me, ty
