Best pickup to tow 22-28ft camper halfway across the country?

TLDR; Need recommendations for a pickup that can tow 22-28 ft camper from MN to AZ. Truck budget ≈$15-$25k Packing up and leaving Minnesota, heading 1,500 miles southwest to Arizona! Looking for some recommendations on everyone’s preferred pickups to tow hard shell campers. We haven't bought an RV yet but are looking at everything available. In the process of buying a house in AZ, so not a huge budget for an RV; we just want to take our time getting down there in comfort. Probably get a used camper for around $10k, thinking somewhere in the 22-28ft range. Final destination is 4,400ft elevatio ..read more

Bought one last weekend and picking it up this weekend. 2016 rockwood A214HW. Had to look around a bit to find one I could tow without upgrading my TV. That's the next step. submitted by /u/Thebillyray [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi, My wife and I are planning a trip out east with our young family (11,9,7). We have rented an RV and will be going to Ottawa, Quebec, New Brunswick, pei, Halifax, lunenburg, and maybe come home through the states. We have NO idea how to find good rv camps along the way that would be great for the family. Any advice or help is much appreciated Thanks submitted by /u/ThePDawg [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Flare side F150 I already own a 5th wheel trailer (25'). I'm looking at trucks and came across a 2008 Flareside F150 that I really like. Do you believe that it could work with a 5th wheel hitch? Bed is slightly narrowed, but length should not be an issue as I always towed this trailer with a 6.5' bed. Thoughts? submitted by /u/Sad-Temporary2843 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

This past winter we rented a 32ft Class C for a week and camped at various sites around southern NV, CA and AZ. Some sites had hookups and others had none. We put on about 700 miles during our trip. Our whole family absolutely loved the experience! We have 4 children, ages 10, 8, 4 & 3. My wife and I can both work remotely most of the time. We typically rent a cabin a couple times every summer, go tent camping, and spend lots of days at State Parks. We'd be using the RV for a lot of 3-4 day weekends and maybe a couple of week long trips every year. We live in MN, so most areas around us a ..read more

Anyone out there have experience with this model? Looks like a odd duck front cap is a bit odd on some of the 23 models can see the framing. Inverter and server rack battery looks like standard mid grade chinesium kit. 24 lost the 2nd rear door and the water heater got moved in to that spot would love to know what the deal is on these rigs if anyone out there has some experience with them submitted by /u/Horror_Lifeguard639 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Just checked Rule 1 and Rule 2, and it looks like I'm good. I am looking to make showroom appointments at Fun Town RV in Cleburne. If anyone needs something to do this week and couldn't make the event at the AT&T Stadium this weekend (or if you did and couldn't get a deal done) then let me know! I would love to walk and talk with you about RVing. From road trips, advice, buying and selling. I want to share my experience and take some advice. Feel free to reply here or DM me. Mods, if this breaks rule 2, then please let me know so I can edit the post. :) submitted by /u/MosaicOfBetrayal ..read more

Needing to know what kind of water heater I need to get as a replacement for an old Atwood one..

Living full time in an RV and the hot water tank is busted. They apparently don't make this model anymore (GC6AA-9E) and I can't find any replacement for it online. I was quoted around $900 from an RV place for a whole other unit but I'd have to completely re wire all the stuff and I am just lost on what to do. Does anybody know what kind would fit or an easier way to do this? submitted by /u/JustHereForYou1212 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
