I'm in Thailand and my father had diabetes. I got a blood sugar reading of 102 but the lab test says that 70 to 110 is the normal range. Looking online it says that up to 100 is the normal range. This seems to be quite a difference, what do you guys say? should I be concerned?

I’m on Ozempic and metformin. Almost 3 weeks ago, I met with diabetes educator and had some labs done because I was dealing with reactive hypo episodes after eating carbs and when going longer than 6 hours without food. I had been having less than 50 g of carbs a day. With BG stabilization, I made the mistake of jumping to 80-100. The educator suggested I stay in 50-80 range and after a few months increase by a small amount at a time.
Everything has been great with that until yesterday.
Both yesterday and today about 30 min into an intense workout, my freestyle alarm went off. Blood test yest ..read more

Usually, after purchasing the box of insulin (fiasp/tresiba in my case),
I would take out "only one" flextouch pen for use in advance so that I can use it,
when I see that the current pen is running low.
I accidentally took out more flextouch pens than needed.
These pens have been sitting on the desk at my home for a few weeks at this point.
Will this make the insulin go bad somehow?
Should I put the insulin pens back in the refrigerator?
Thanks for your advices!

I'm sad and frustrated. I asked my doctor for antibody testing for both diabetes and Hashimoto's and they said no and that I will have to discuss that with the Endo. I can't see the Endo for the first time until October, so in the meantime I'm stuck with trying to figure out why I'm having low blood sugar despite not taking any diabetes meds and paying for CGMs to try to catch it before symptoms start getting bad. I'll be fine, it's not a medical emergency, but I'm very frustrated.

So I have type 2 diabetes, at work I eat my lunch usually around 11, and then I walk around to exercise for about 30 mins. Usually between 4 and 5 pm I feel hungry again, does this mean my body has used up all the sugar I consumed earlier at lunch? Thanks.

I (19F) just got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. The last time I got my A1C checked, I was told that it was in a healthy range, so I guess I got a bit too comfortable and let myself slip back into my old habits.? I feel like I should've expected this since I've been pre-diabetic since 9th grade, and I have a strong family history of diabetes.
I honestly feel pretty embarrassed about the fact that I've already been diagnosed with diabetes at my age. Still, I believe that I'll be able to control it to a reasonable level. Besides making the obvious lifestyle changes like eating healthy, exercisi ..read more

Hello, so last year my A1C was 6.5, just barely diabetic, and I ignored it for largely a year, but have been extremely serious in lowering it and getting my health in order the past couple of months.
My work is getting new insurance so I'm waiting for that in July to start before I go again because I'll likely have to change primary care doctors, which I already would have to because I moved recently. And I want to avoid getting a new doctor and then another new doctor a few months later.
What I'm worried about is getting prescriptions still, I really want a prescription for one of those ..read more

Hello, I’m 17 years old, soon to be 18, and I’m Mexican. Currently, I’m in my last semester/year of high school. I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes about 5 months ago, so I’m still learning a few things. Yesterday, I woke up feeling incredibly tired and had difficulty even keeping my eyes open. I stayed in bed for about 5 minutes, wondering why I felt this way since I had slept well. Soon, I realized it could be due to high blood glucose levels. To confirm this, I checked my CGM and, indeed, for some reason unknown to me, I woke up with a blood glucose level of 183. I only managed to get up ..read more
