Manchester Giants upset Seriös Group Newcastle Eagles  in thrilling British Basketball League Championship action. The Giants pulled off a surprise win over the Eagles, who subsequently lost their battle for postseason home-court advantage with the loss. The British Basketball League (the League) can announce that British rap artist Lady Ice will perform the League’s UNBEATABLE anthem at the 2024 British Basketball League Playoff Finals at The O2 on May 19.  Joined by OMO9K and DJ/producer Kill Miami, this will be the first time the anthem will be performed live, with the performance taking place following the Women’s Final and amping up the energy before the Men’s Final that afternoon. Caledonia Gladiators‘ late scoring stretch saw them claim a 96-81 victory over Plymouth City Patriots, with the short-handed visitors putting in a valiant performance. Cheshire Phoenix rallied in the second half to overturn a deficit and seal second place in the table with a 99-92 win on the road against Sheffield Sharks. At one point down 17, the Nix’s second half offensive barrage from Maceo Jack and Laquincy Rideau saw the visitors silence the home crowd. Jack finished with 31 points, going seven-for-eight from downtown, with Rideau collecting an incredible triple-double.
