Would probably spend majority of his rookie year in Southaven. Could see a Kuminga esque developmental path with the contending Warriors. Skillset fits with Ja and them. Probably my #1 target unless we move up into Sarr (dare i say Topic) range. I know you guys aren't going to want a rookie who isn't playing off the bat but I don't think having a rookie center rather than a solid veteran moves the needle regardless. I seen a lot of people happy at their demise but me? I’m pissed (well at least disappointed). It should’ve been us who ended them. I wanted to beat them so bad with grit n grind. Marcus is a player that wins you games you’re not supposed to win, and loses games you’re not supposed to lose. And right now that’s not a player that the Grizzlies need with GG Jackson and Vince Williams here. Yes, they’re young, but they’re also ready to contribute to winning and playoff basketball. Its no disrespect to Smart, he’s a solid starter, but there’s no reason to have him start at the 3 when he’s undersized, and if he’s not starting, he should be involved in trade talks for a center.
