No but like seriously, can someone explain it to me? He doesn't shoot well and only takes shots when the clock is running out. He isn't a good perimeter defender, opposing teams always switch to him on the perimeter. Hes freethrow shooting is inconsistent. Can someone explain to me why he is always in the rotation and often in clutch? It was clear to start the game that the Clips had a plan. Pound it inside to draw help and open up easy looks. It worked to perfection and got Gaffford off the floor. The Mavs seemed to have a bad plan or not much of one at all, as the offense was stagnant and was mostly Luka and Kyrie trying to get themselves going. Then after each timeout the Clips scored on a well designed play to end Mavs runs. The Mavs seemed to make zero adjustments after time outs, once getting a desperation Maxi 3 as the shot clock expired. Obviously a lot of storylines from game 1, but does anyone have any insight on Gafford? Man was nonexistent except for a couple nice blocks. 1-4 shooting, 2 missed dunks as I recall. 0 rebounds in 14 minutes??? We used to get punished by Zubac in the playoffs, but going into the series this year I was jacked about our Gaff/Lively combo to neutralize him.
