They act like Mo Wagner has been assaulting ppl when he hasn’t done a single dirty thing in the series……. Cleveland’s players are the ones who have been trying to cheap shot him. U would think a fan base who recently won a championship and has had playoff success would act a little more humble in victory against a young & inexperienced team that just had their best season in a decade.

This was so refreshing to hear seeing all the armchair GM self-reflection posts that have been plaguing this thread the last week or two. We're going to have plenty of time to talk about the offseason when we get to the offseason...

I received 35 comments with nothing but hate, and not a single ounce of actual discussion. I started the post by saying I'm not a hater and ended it by saying please don't troll. I was hoping for some legitimate basketball discussion, but received nothing but a bunch of bridge trolls screaming at me. I will now deep dive into my thoughts with actual basketball discussion and would love to discuss basketball with anyone who is interested.
Here's my analysis:
I compared Evan's best season, which I said could be the archetype of Franz's peak long-term. I originally provided basic stats but will ..read more

Not hating but had this realization. They are both European, high volume, lower efficiency wing players.
Franz has the slight edge on athleticism, but Fournier has the edge on shooting from deep.
Neither contribute a ton on the defensive end or as ball handlers.
In Evan’s best year, he averaged 18.5/2.6/3.2 on 46/40/81% shooting clips. Franz has regressed this season, so I’d say his best year was last year when he averaged 18.6/4.1/3.5 on 48/36/84% shooting clips. Those shooting numbers are down this year with more shots going up, so he’s even more inefficient than last year.
My worry is that ..read more

Two extremely weak games. No one winning individual battles on the boards or defensively. Far too many missed shots that you just can't miss and expect to win.
But if you look at team stats, especially from game 2, they aren't doing that much more than we are outside of shooting percentages.
We've had several runs this season after a couple of absolute lousy losses just like these two. Losses that made you wonder how on earth we've won a single game. And then we put together a really nice string of games that make you realize we actually have a team again. No reason that can't happen here.

Everything that was wrong in the regular season has been amplified thus far: long stretches of stagnant offense, defensive breakdowns after offensive rebounds, and inconsistency of bench scoring. Add to this the tighter officiating and unreliability of free throws and it's a recipe for disaster.
Only one of these issues is really about experience in the playoffs and our guys being young. The other issues we have known about for the whole season.
I really hope someone becomes available so that we can parlay our assets. We need a guy to pair with Paolo who can share the offensive burden while b ..read more

He clearly played well when given minutes so many of us have wondered why he has not received any minutes. Did he get suspended internally for the jersey swap thing?

I think we really limit Cole, Fultz's and Joe's minutes and Play AB, Caleb Houstan and maybe Goga to make the lineup a little bigger as Bitadze can match up well with Allens dumbass. But I still think we give those 3 minutes still, maybe they will play better but not the amount of minutes they played today. The amount of minutes Markelle played today was fine. I do a kinda think thats too many players playing, but we have to try something new.
