Throwback to the 2023 NBA Trade Deadline. The Brooklyn Nets have expressed interest in trading for Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam, league sources told HoopsHype. Nets forward Ben Simmons and several first-round draft picks have also been discussed in trade conversations with the Raptors.

Considering all the talk around Siakam, the Raptors did listen to talks in the 2023 NBA trade deadline but still didn't get offers they liked. Marc Stein reported during the deadline in 2023 that the Raptors were willing to do a trade if Nic Claxton was in the talks but the Nets were unwilling to include him. Simmons is seen as a negative trade asset as well so that would have been an awful trade. When the Raptors did start becoming serious in Pascal trade talks the best they got was Deandre Hunter, AJ Griffin, and a pick from Atlanta, and Kings role players. submitted by /u/The_Living_L [vi ..read more

[Walder] It's cool if you're fine with the Toronto Raptors trading Pascal Siakam, but I think we can all agree that the franchise didn't maximize his return package for someone that talented. That's in large part due to the front office waiting for as long as it did to pull the trigger.

Bruce Brown Jordan Nwora Kelly Olynyk Ochai Agbaji 19th pick in '24 draft 2026 1st round pick Let's break down these individual components. Bruce Brown is a useful piece on a contender. But not a floor-raiser on an early rebuilding team. I’ve seen someone, probably Grange, say he’s the team's “vet ..read more

[OptaSTATS] Pascal Siakam of the @Pacers is the first NBA player to open the playoffs with back-to-back 35-point/10-rebound games since Wilt Chamberlain did it in 1967.
