I wanted to make the Home and End keys work, so I followed this guide https://www.starryhope.com/mac/mac-os-x-home-and-end-keys/ The Home and End keys now do work, but only in some Apps. It works in Firefox, Safari, Sublime Text, VS Code but they do not work in Terminal and Mathematica. What how can I make the keys work in other apps as well? I'm running some python scripts for many hours and my MacBook Pro Keeps trying to go to sleep (I think). I am not sure if going to sleep is the proper term. Essentially what happens is that after a while it tries to close all the apps that are running and brings me back to a locked screen. When I erased the volume, I put Mac OS Extended on it. I am having an issue with running a script within a python virtual environment. I have installed MySQL, MySQL client, Django, and everything using Homebrew since I am on a Mac M1 (Apple M1 Pro running Sonoma 14.4). When I double-check this using pip install, I always get a requirement satisfied message. Also, I have no issues starting up a database within MySQL and accessing this database.
