The Altruist Face Fluid SPF50 sunscreen is a lighter choice for oily skins

There was a recent sale on the Altruist Sunscreen on shopee, so I shared about it on Instagram, and it received a lot of positive response. But I also received a lot of questions about texture, because I previously shared that the Altruist Sunscreen has a thicker, more creamy texture, and understandably, that can feel a little off-putting. Incidentally, I had purchased the Altruist Face Fluid sunscreen in the past, and tried it not too long ago, so I figured that it’s time I shared my thoughts on it. **Read lots more & Share your thoughts here** The post The Altruist Face Fluid SPF50 sun ..read more

Affordable hydration is possible with the L’Oreal Revitalift Hyaluronic Acid 1.5% serum

I haven’t been as familiar with many new beauty releases as I haven’t been out and about very much. So what I’ve been doing is shopping my stash and finding new things in there that I might not otherwise have tried! The L’Oreal Revitalift Hyaluronic Acid 1.5% Serum is one such product. I received it during an event many months ago, and dug it back up when I was looking for a new serum to use in the day. I tend to use hydrating/hydration serums in the day as I’ve found that that’s when I lose the most moisture from my skin. I attribute this to the weather – just because the weather is hot and ..read more

A funny and interesting thing happened to me very recently. I was with my pup, waiting by the side of the road, when a total stranger came up to say Hi. I was a little cautious, as my pup is easily excitable, and I didn’t want him jumping on her. Much to my surprise, she wasn’t there to say Hi to the pup (most do, so I was expecting them to LOL!) but to me! She said she had been reading my blog for the longest time, and wanted to take the opportunity to say Hi. It was a bit of a whirlwind meeting, and then she was gone, and I was left with my pup, feeling a little bemused, but brimming with ..read more

Trying the Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream 15 years later – it still impresses

Many people are surprised that my first encounter with Elemis isn’t at their store, or through some viral video, or an influencer on social media. My first encounter with the brand was back in 2009! Yep, they have been around a long time here in Malaysia, and I bet many of you didn’t realise that! Back in 2009, when this blog was in its infancy, I sat down with the then distributors and they shared with me about this new brand that was coming into Malaysia, and let me try some of the iconic products. One such sample was the Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream. A few years later, I purchased th ..read more

The Altruist Sunscreen SPF50 is easily one of the best sunscreen I’ve used in recent times (and it’s affordable too!)

When it comes to sunscreen, and when I find a sunscreen I like, I tend to be very faithful. There is nothing worse than trying a new sunscreen and then having it fail on you when you need it most i.e. when you’re out in peak noonday sun and you’re overheating or if you burn. Horrors! As someone who has skin that reacts easily to sun exposure (I develop sun spots and freckles very quickly and my skin heats up easily under the sun), sunscreen is my most important skincare product. I will still use a sunscreen that is greasy or heavy, if it leaves my skin protected. I used to get a lot of comme ..read more

SKINCARE TIP: If I don’t wear makeup, must I double-cleanse my skin in the evening?
My Women Stuff

This is a question I get every now and then, which I answer privately. Whenever the subject of double-cleansing comes up, I am bound to be asked this – If I don’t wear makeup, must I still double-cleanse in the evening? It’s only natural to wonder, because many people do find cleansing a chore. It shouldn’t be, because it really is the start of your skincare routine. A good skincare routine starts with a good cleanse and a good cleanser, because you should ensure that your skin is clean and ready for the rest of your skincare. There isn’t much point in spending a ton of money on the most exp ..read more

I’m not joking when I say you should get the Geek & Gorgeous 101 Jelly Joker cleanser!

I was looking for a cleanser a few months ago, which led me to the Geek & Gorgeous 101 Jelly Joker. I found the name amusing. It must be said that I am very picky about my facial cleansers. I have dry skin generally, so the cleansers I go for must be non-drying, which means I avoid anything that is foaming. I usually go for cream cleansers as I find them to be the least drying on my skin. Gel type cleansers can be touch or go for me. Sometimes, they feel a little harsh, and sometimes, they feel like they don’t clean well. There aren’t many that I’d use because I’m so fussy! But happily ..read more

Hi friends! Gosh, it’s been a while hasn’t it? It will feel like I’m making excuses for my lack of presence here, so I won’t That being said, I do have quiet plans to be a little more present here on my blog. I’ll keep them quiet because I’m not sure how quickly I’ll bounce back I have been observing the social media space over the past year, and it is with interest that I note that there is a renewed interest in blogging, or rather, in keeping a space to call your own. While Twitter seems to have imploded in a dumpster fire (I’m no longer very active there myself), Instagram and Tiktok do ..read more

You don’t have to be a CEO to enjoy the Sunday Riley CEO Rich Hydration Cream!

My jar of the Sunday Riley CEO Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream came as part of a set I purchased last Christmas. I like buying pricey brands during the holiday season, because you do tend to get better value, or get to try a product you may otherwise not have the opportunity to. I had tried the CEO Vitamin C serum and face oil in the past, so it was about time I rounded up the trinity and tried the cream as well **Read lots more & Share your thoughts here** The post You don’t have to be a CEO to enjoy the Sunday Riley CEO Rich Hydration Cream! appeared first on My Women Stuff ..read more
