So I flew my drone around in this community and the photos I took management seemed to like a lot, they’re asking me to come out one of these days because they’re hosting some event and they want me to get photos of the event, I’m not being paid and it’s going to be a fun experience for all of us. Will I need my part 107 for this? I’m not being paid, they might post the photos online I’m not entirely sure what their goal is but at the end of the day I’m going because it’s something I enjoy and the photos I take are for the company. Do I have to worry about any consequences for not having my p ..read more

So i have been thinking about this for some time now and i wonder if there is a place/area where you can legally fly above 120 meters with your drone? I almost sure this is not possibly legal any places but wanted to ask anyway. I’m just curious and now i have become even more curious since i saw the YouTuber North Borders fly about 500 meters up with his drone. submitted by /u/ArthuThies [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi all, I'm looking to get a drone for the first time and a lot of recommendations for beginners on a bit of a budget recommended the DJI Mini series, I found the DJI Mini 2 SE a bit of an investment compared to other cheap options, though with all the negative reviews on stability etc, I figured its worth just putting in the bit extra. My main concern is the website lists compatible devices and Google Pixel 7 Pro isn't on the list, whilst googling a lot of results I see speak of people with the phone having issues, though this are also over a year old and might have since been resolved. Hi, I’m looking for a drone that can carry a decent amount and has a range of at least 1km. Price isn’t a huge issue but I would still like to keep it not super high, maybe around $200-300? Any help is appreciated, thanks! submitted by /u/Marcooo2706 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Under 250g for travelling the world (mostly Asia and Africa) or larger? DJI Mini 4?

Hi, I am an avid travel hobby DSLR photographer, and I am planning to buy a drone to get a new perspective on things. I have spent two weekends doing a research and I also did read the sticky thread (which seems to be it outdated, DJI Mini 4 didn't exist yet), but there are still some things that I cannot really decide on. Looking at all the reviews, DJI Mini 4 is very close to what I am looking for, however, I do have some concerns. Firstly - I am in EU and watched a lot of videos by creators mostly in my country. They do cover legislature for all kind of drones, but mostly for EU only, and ..read more

Mini 4 pro owner, need advice

I’ve owned the Mini 4 Pro since launch day, but I've only flown it 5 or 6 times. The reason is that I tend to overthink the fly zones. There are numerous maps indicating no-fly zones or areas where caution is needed due to low-flying aircraft or helicopters. Or that it's important not to fly over people's properties. All these rules make me worry excessively and take the enjoyment out of flying my drone. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to break any rules. I do follow them, but I've reached a point where I worry too much about where I can or can't fly, which has led to a loss of confidence in ..read more
