ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed the aftermath of Wednesday night's storm that uprooted trees and destroyed several buildings in Anderson County. They concluded the damage was from three distinct waves of straight line winds and not tornadoes. ANDERSON, S.C. (WSPA) - Cleanup was underway Friday in several areas off Highway 81 near Greenacres Road and Shannon Way in Anderson County. Several trees were left uprooted in those areas with many neighbors saying that they've never seen a storm hit so hard. Greenville man gets extra prison for role in sextortion scheme

GREENVILLE S.C. (WSPA) - A Greenville man will spend nearly three more years in prison for his role in a sextortion scheme which ultimately caused one person to take their own life. According to the US Attorney's Office, Javarius Teague, 31, of Greenville, was sentenced to 33 months for his role in the scheme. JACKSON COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) - Survey crews from the National Weather Service confirmed storm damage found in Jackson County was confirmed to be from an EF-1 tornado. The tornado touched down early Thursday morning, shortly after midnight. The National Weather Service said the damage was found in an area north of Glenville and south of Cullowhee. UNION, S.C. (WSPA) - Two men have been arrested on charges related to the shooting death of a 15-year-old Sunday in Union. The shooting happened at a home on McBeth Street around 3 p.m. Sunday.
