Any food worth getting from Amazon for free shipping?

I don't pay for Amazon prime so I try to have enough stuff in my cart that I get free shipping, normally I just add something I know I will need in the near future but sometimes I don't need anything. Is there any grocery items that you have found to be cheap on Amazon? I also walk to the store so something large would also add extra convenience so I don't have to walk it home. I was thinking a big bag of rice? Any suggestions? submitted by /u/MrDyl4n [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

And I don't mean at a 101 level. I can tell I don't need a new car, the old one is working just fine. I'm not going into debt for an iPhone. Etc. But. Do I need, for example, the brand of underwear that costs $4 more but will give my butt more joy every time I wear it? No. Does cutting every single available corner wear on my energy as well as my sense of freedom vs. restriction in my life? Yes. What metrics can I use, to a fine level of detail, to determine which items can be 1. Bought as cheaply as possibly can be vs 2. Bought medium quality vs 3. Not Bought at all and 4. I could go into all my health details but I just want to know the cheapest way to make a will? I want what little physically I have to go to my children but the other important factor is my burial wishes or lack thereof. I don't have an employer to do anything through. Any advice or links will be greatly appreciated. submitted by /u/CrushedIcePepsi [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

What’s up everybody? I’m from New York where we have the following stores: Stop & Shop ShopRite Walmart Acme Unfortunately, I live directly next-door to a Stop & Shop. Their food quality is so low compared to others. Their prices are absolutely outrageous! Last night I bit the bullet wanted to make my wife and I a grilled chicken Caesar salad. The total bill $37.00. That included a very small 1 pound, thinly sliced chicken breast, a bag of croutons, and three Romain lettuce hearts. I could have called the diner, and had them make Caesar salad for less than that. I own every app availa ..read more

In general whats more comfortable? Sleeping on an air mattress or sleeping on a memory foam mattress topper (without a mattress)

I saw a sale for a mattress topper for $22... wondering if that would be more comfortable than an air mattress. I know it all depends on brands but wondering in general. submitted by /u/worldpeace28 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Howdy folks, long time reader, first time poster. I am a first-time HYSA scouter- I have a decent amount saved up from my job during undergrad (high 4 figures) and was looking for an HYSA to have some of that just sit while I'm applying to grad school. I've done a bit of preliminary research but I was hoping to get some opinions on what the "best" HYSA for my situation is. Thanks! submitted by /u/SouthernAfrica9 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Best way to negotiate rent?

I'm looking to sign a lease for $2500 per month. All utilities are included except for wifi and garbage. Wifi is about $80 per month and garbage is about $50. I'd like to get the rent reduced to $2400 to accout for these costs. I'm looking for advice on how to best frame my argument since saying its too much is more of a personal issue. The listing for the place has been up for a little over a month so this may also help. submitted by /u/potatoflames [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Asking my doctor to change my prescription worth it to save $70 a year?

I just got a prescription filled and was looking at the numbers and realized that something is off. I have to take 500mg of a medication but they only make 100mg pills and 300mg pills so I have prescriptions for each. Turns out that the 100mg pills are priced at 11¢ / 100mg but the 300mg are priced at 17¢ / 100mg. If I asked my doc to just prescribe me to take 5 100mg pills instead of the current 1 300mg and 2 100mgs, I would save $70/year lol. Also, I'd only have one prescription to pick up and manage instead of two (which are filled at different times, etc). In the end, the real issue is th ..read more
