I don't improve at table tennis since 3 years

During all of my matches, I miss at least two of my serves. I don't hit my topspins and often miss normal balls. It's annoying as hell. Oh yeah, and I am stuck at 900 TTR since I've started table tennis, like seriously, 900 TTR is like an unconquerable border. I know it sounds vague but it's as absurd as it sounds. My current equipment is as follows: Blade: Stiga Allround Classic FH: C53 BH: R50 I have a table tennis table at home however, my parents aren't able to play with me (or even good enough to somewhat place the ball at the point I want it to for an exercise). Should I just buy a robo ..read more

Hello everyone, I'm very happy to have found this forum so I can discuss and ask questions about this sport that I love so much. I come here with more questions than certainty, but I'm willing to answer inquiries and reflect on myself. I'll share a bit about my current situation to give you context and provide a foundation for answering my questions below. I used to play Table Tennis when I was 13 years old. I trained for 2 years but then stopped. Now, nearly 20 years later, I've returned and am eager to improve in the sport. I came back about 5 months ago and have been training for 6 hours a ..read more

ITTF World Cup Session 1 was streamed on YouTube but Session 2 was not. Is it just missing for the US (which means Session 1 was streamed in error)?

How to work on the mental aspect of the game?

Hello everyone, I am playing table tennis for quite a while now and skill wise I must be fine during the whole game. But, I've noticed that my mental game is really weak right now. During the practice I wait for the ball and hit it properly all the time, but when it comes to matches I start rushing towards the ball and it affects the whole game for me. Also, I find myself getting too anxious or frustrated during matches, which affects my performance on the table. I'm looking for advice on how to strengthen the mental aspect of my game, because right now the mistakes I am making are more relat ..read more

Can anyone give info on Hurricane Sun?

Hello guys, I'd like some advice/info on the Hurricane Sun! After selling a few stuff, I've wanted to build a nice Chinese style setup to mess around with, I saw on AliExpress the DHS Hurricane Sun and later found it's also sold on Prott. From what I've seen it seems to be lighter overall and have a thicker core with thinner top plies, with the weight a bit closer to the handle compared to the Long V. If anyone has tried it, I'd like to know how its hardness, responsiveness speed and handle dimensions are compared to other blades you've played with. Especially if you could use the Long V, Vis ..read more

Using both European & Chinese FH Loops?

We know that boths FH Loop techniques has their pros and cons. And I'm thinking of using both depending on the situation. If the ball travels too fast, compact strokes makes more sense (during counter-topspin rallys). If the balls travels slow (like backspin), I can prepare the big Chinese swing. My questions: Can I perform both techniques on H3 (chinese rubber)? Does it makes sense to perform both techniques or should I stick to one technique? Is it easier to lift heavy backspin with chinese techniques? submitted by /u/damnmotherfucker [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hello, i have medium lvl in table tennis, about 6+ years of practice. I have a problem: in shakehand grip i have awesome FH but my backhand lacks, i dont have enough room to topspin from backhand side and most of the time i just drive, which lead me to play short pips on backhand, it turns out fairly good, but in short game and vs dead balls i need some spin to play, i mean desperate need to open spins from bh...i tried twiddle but it feel akward to me, i use FL mb this is the problem. On other side i have great confidence in RPB with penhold grip, i have breeze of ez topspins from openers to ..read more

My main racket is fastarc C1/C1 (I have also G1/C1) on andro novacell off/s. I play close to table, FH I attack as soon as possible to engage rally and BH it depend on my daily level of confidence (push/block/loop/chop). I would like to test a second racket for fun and because: C1 on FH is currently missing something , maybe too soft I dont know C1 on BH is currently a little bit too much and I have sometime difficulty to play short => training here :) G1 on FH is a little bit demanding in a sense where in train or in counter/loop it is fantastic but more difficult to have a variable game ..read more
