It appears to me the euro step is used more. But do players regularly use the stutter steps? I hear some trained to do it. But I don’t see them do it often in practice in any games including NBA. Or probably I don’t know how to look. In my knowledge the stutter step mainly an intimidation to scare the defender into making space so the offender can drive the ball towards the basket. Hey all I'm (25 M) a former high school basketball player. I have a complicated relationship with basketball, it was my favorite thing my whole life, but from 7th grade - 12th grade, it was really difficult to enjoy as I had extreme performance anxiety. So I just need some input on a situation that happened about a week ago. Got invited to play pickup at a 24 hr by some guys I see all the time where I usually play. So I go and the first 3 games were great. Everyone’s b/w 17-25, plays aggressive, good defense, no ball-hogging. Then this other guy shows up and he’s obviously a regular.
