Namaste and Assalamu alaikum to all my muslim brothers. I am a born and raised Hindu who has strong faith in profound values and beliefs of Hinduism but I always have been eager to learn more about all beautiful customs of various different religions across the planet. I am on a quest of knowledge. I would really appreciate it if any of you could break islam down into it's basic tenets and what it truly stands for.
Peace ☮️

I did something good, came home and told my mum about it (without the intention of showing off). I always share stuff with her regarding what happens in our mosque be it something good or controversial.
Although my intention was not to show off, I can’t help but think what if deep down I’m looking for her validation? So that she may think her son did something good. I’m getting these thoughts now..

Salam, I hope someone can answer this question for me we as muslims are not allowed to promote haram. So my question is if we watch a video on youtube which contains haram (minor sins not major sins) and thus add to the view count will we also bear the sin of everybody who watches said video after we have watched it? Or will we only bear our sin?

My Uber driver said “Assalamualaikum” to me in a chat before I got on the ride. I used to live in a city with large percentage of muslims (85%) so I’m familiar with the reply “Waalaikumussalam” but I had never used it before. Now I live in a different city with not as many muslims so I doubt he expected me to be muslim. But after I sent the reply, he left me on read, and we were completely quiet the whole ride. So I really don’t know if I made a mistake, I would be genuinely sorry if I did.

As salamu aleykum! I woke up this morning due to fajr prayer as always. This time I snoozed the alarm and went sleeping. I was 100% in mind and did it intentionally.
My question is, and please with authentic sources not just „own opinion“, is it allowed to make it up as soon as I wake up? OR is it not allowed to do so, because it was not missed due to sleep or forgetness.
Thanks!
