Hi, I am currently at the post production of my first independent film (nearly 1 hour duration). The edit is ready for dub. That's it. Re - recording is progressing now. However, I have reached a point wherein I can't make judgements as to how/if the scenes work. Is it because the score, music isn't locked? Sometimes, it stirs me up so bad that whenever I have a look at it, it feels so disconnected to me. I know it's good to take a break and come back to it (which I will), but if not for that, filmmakers out here, how have you'll tackled this situation? hello! i am planning to shoot an experimental film with a sony handycam hdr-cx150 that i have lying around. i would like for this film to have an intentionally flat visual style, similar to that of early 2000s soap operas. does anyone have any advice on how i could achieve such an effect with lens filters or manipulation in post? i know the footage will already be relatively low res as the camcorder doesnt shoot higher than 1080p but i still don't think it will have that "flat" look i am seeking. many thanks to anyone who can help. submitted by /u/eschatonbringer [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi everyone. So I’ve wrote this script for a short film where for five minutes there is one single frame being recorded and every night a man walks into the frame, does something, and then walks out. While I only want the film to be about five minutes, it’s supposed to take place over at least a month, how can I achieve a Timelapse effect that gives me the time I want while not actually having to record a one month time lapse?
