For nother mi i prefer pre rut.... Theres too many areas that they can go with a doe you just cant chase.... But pre rut they are going bonkers... Rut i prefer souther Michigan where the deer numbers are higher.... I get better responses from rattling and grunting.... I have a property i designated my rut hunting area...
