Replacement of Bayou St. John bridge at DeSaix Boulevard begins

The $6 million roadwork project to replace the Bayou St. John bridge at DeSaix Boulevard in the Fairgrounds neighborhood has begun, city officials announced Monday (Jan. 29). The DeSaix Bridge will close beginning Wednesday (Jan. 31). The closure will allow crews to perform a full reconstruction of the bridge and complete the necessary utility work. Read More...
