Previously published on the HGSI Community Forum. For earlier access to Dr. Scotts Top Down Review, please register at HGSI Community Forum. Welcome to this Week’s Review What a week in the markets.  We started with a bang as Futures sold off into the market open for most of Monday and early Tuesday.  The markets did a U-Turn late Tuesday and traded up the rest of the week. The indices have regained lost moving averages and are close to moving back into the regression channel.  We are still in a tough time for the market from a seasonality perspective, so we need to ensure prior ..read more

The market pundits are very bearish, yet my CANSLIM Growth Stock portfolio made money this past week.&nbs ..read more

Previously published on the HGSI Community Forum. For earlier access to Dr. Scotts Top Down Review, please register at HGSI Community Forum. Welcome to this weeks review, The market sold off this week, fulfilling the first part of the saying, Sell Rosh Hashana.  Now we will see come Thursday whether the second part, Buy Yom Kippur, will follow. The markets are dropping toward potential reversal zones but do not look like they finished as I see it. Perhaps, setting up for a reversal later in the week.  Of course, we are also in September, one of the challenging months historically, so ..read more

Previously published on the HGSI Community Forum. For earlier access to Dr. Scotts Top Down Review, please register at HGSI Community Forum. Welcome to this weeks review, The markets started the week strong but then traded mostly sideways the rest of the week.  The RUT remained strong with the NASD as both large-cap tech and IBD 50 like stocks did well. As we enter the week of the Jewish New Year and Labor Day, will the market use the reduced participation as an opportunity to sell off?
