Here`s one of my prize possessions! Kirk McGee is one of my all time favorite artists. This disc is the only copy I`ve ever saw of it, I wonder how many were pressed. Here we have two tunes Kirk wrote (according to the label). I know he did write Blue Night (Bill Monroe recorded Blue Night) but I`m not sure about Darling Rose Malone, though he very well may have written it too.

Here`s a pretty unusual LP. Andy Devine had an unusual voice, and that`s what attracted me to this LP. There is absolutely no information on this LP jacket. I thought the disc would be Andy telling various stories about the west, but it turns out to a Wild Bill Hickok episode and Andy is in his Jingles character. I`m not sure, but I believe this was a series produced by Disney. Enjoy!

Was just looking at some records here in the archive and thought folks might enjoy some Lulu Belle and Scotty 45`s. I really don`t know anything about these discs and I don`t know if these were ever issued on an LP, some may have been, but I kind of think these are unique releases only on 45. Happy downloading!

So it`s been a long time since I`ve posted anything, and the weather is mighty nasty here today, so I thought today is a good time to post some warm Hawaiian music. This is a promotional disc made of cardboard, but the sound quality is quite good. I`m guessing this would have been made about 1950-ish. I wonder if these cuts are from another recording or if they are unique only to this disc. I`m not going to go into any information on Lani McIntire as he was quite popular and there should be plenty of information on the interweb. Enjoy!
