Happy Friday! This week was very busy and exciting! I debuted my new limited edition collaboration with Chappywrap, the “Garden Grown” blanket, to celebrate my book dropping next month. Thank you to everyone who ordered and supported and sent me notes about it. I always love creating beautiful things with people I love. Tomorrow we are heading out of town for spring break with my family, my in-laws, my mom, and my sister and her family. We all rented a big house with a pool which will be equal parts fun and chaos in the best way possible. I worked with my therapist this week to make sure I ha ..read more

Garden Grown Chappywrap

This day really snuck up on me, ahh! We’ve had this blanket in the works for over a year and I’m SO excited that it’s finally here and ready to rock. The Garden Grown blanket is something very special that I created with Chappywrap to celebrate the launch of my book (in less than a month!!). If it looks similar, that’s because it’s the same pattern as our original best-selling Hanover blanket that sold out three times, but in a new fresh-for-spring color. The sage green is so beautiful and goes with greens, blues, pinks, and neutrals really well. We spent a lot of time choosing the perfect gr ..read more

How I Keep My Acne-Prone Skin Clear
Lemon Stripes
by Julia

When I turned 25 I suddenly started getting painful and intense cystic acne seemingly out of nowhere. For the first year I tried to manage it myself, but when I got engaged at 26, I knew I wanted to really do something about it before my wedding. I started seeing a facialist in the city (Bonnie is still there and she is AMAZING, I cannot recommend her enough) who changed my entire relationship with my skin. She helped clear it up with monthly facials and homework to stick to a morning and evening skincare routine at home, something I hadn’t really thought of before. Remember, this was before ..read more

Buying my kids spring and summer clothes sparks the absolute most possible amount of joy in me. I love the colorful options and patterns and live for a little girl’s flutter-sleeve. Amalia and I curated her spring wardrobe together and while there are elements of tween in there, like the flared leggings she and her friends are obsessed with, she still loves a little girl moment like this gauzy rainbow short set. Dress pictured above here and check out all of her spring picks here and/or below! 1. Rainbow Gauze Set 2. Flutter-Sleeve Tee 3. Flared Leggings 4. Sweatshirt and Sweatshorts 5. Flor ..read more

We had some high highs and low lows this week. On a high note, Anel and I booked our first solo trip to Europe since having kids!!!! I am so excited and giddy and feel like a little girl again planning it all out. More details to come on that. In other very exciting news, Bookshop.org included my cookbook in a newsletter campaign this week and you can currently get it for 15% off while supporting your local Indie bookstore! On the other hand, we dealt with some frustrating regressions with the kiddos that took at lot out of us all emotionally. Luckily I think we’re on the upswing. I read an a ..read more

Big Boy Bedroom Design
Lemon Stripes

I shared Amalia’s updated room earlier this week and also wanted to share my plans for Luca’s now that we’ve moved him to a big boy bed. We’re keeping a lot of things from his original nursery such as the rug, curtains, and lamps, but needed a bed and nightstands. His birthday is in two weeks and we bought him the cute set of car prints as a gift. He’s going to love them behind his bed! Because his nursery was so blue, I decided to add red as an accent color since he already had a vintage stop sign on his wall. I started with this cute name pillow then picked sheets that I knew he’d love ..read more

J.Crew’s newest batch of new arrivals that dropped today are so so good, back to the old classics with some twists. I had to hop on and share a few of my favorites! Black scoop-neck swimsuit: I’ve had this suit for years and every single time I wear it people ask about it. I am so happy that it’s finally back because it is truly the best fit and fabric and everything. 11/10 recommend this one. Canvas hair bow: Please just go ahead and take all of my money… Simple white dress: Perfection. I ordered this for our upcoming April break. Wide-leg white jeans: I love the button and pocket details. M ..read more

My Daughter’s Wallpaper
Lemon Stripes
by Julia

Amalia, my 6-year-old, has been begging me for wallpaper in her room since we moved into our house… 4 and a half years ago. I kept thinking she would change her mind or get sick of it so I dragged my feet, but the girl is persistent if nothing else and finally wore me down. And I’m so happy that she did because the paper and trim paint couldn’t be more “her” or more beautiful. It reminds me of the wallpaper in her nursery which I wonder if she subconsciously remembered from our old house when picking this. When she walked into her wallpapered room for the first time, she screamed that it was ..read more

Hello! I hope you’re all having a Good Friday We are prepping for a fun Easter weekend with family and friends and praying the weather is warm enough for us to wear the outfits we naively chose last month as we do every year. I finished Heaven and Earth Grocery Store last night, and while it was, at some points, a bit of a slow read, it was an important one and I ended up really liking it in the end. I’m excited to start my book club’s next pick, I’m Glad My Mom Died, today. On the podcast front, I’ve been devouring The Girlfriends and love it. Have a great weekend!
