AEW WrestleDream AEW commentator Jim Ross has dealt with numerous health issues and medical procedures over the last few years, including a battle with skin cancer. On the latest episode of his Grilling JR podcast, Ross looked back on the year 2024 and noted that things are now getting better. “My health has improved immensely. I got my nurse who comes by twice a week, checks my vitals, dresses my wound. Can you believe that that wound, which was a result of 22 radiation treatments for skin cancer, is still being nursed? Over a year. And it’s healing. The good news of this is that it’s healin ..read more

I’m pretty sure Hangman Page just took a shot at Logan Paul’s WWE retirement

TBS Earlier today, I wrote about former United States Champion Logan Paul saying he is ‘retired’ when asked about possibly returning to WWE in time for WrestleMania 41 next April. The reaction I’ve seen to that story indicates lots of wrestling fans would be thrilled if the Youtube douchebag never steps foot in a WWE ring again. Perhaps some wrestlers feel the same way. For example, here is a cryptic post on Bluesky from AEW star Hangman Page: i hope the next person they give half my moveset to is at least kinda cool — HANGMAN PAGE (@hangmanpage.bsky.social) 2024-12-12T17:22:29.023Z “i hop ..read more

AEW Last night’s (Dec. 11) Winter is Coming episode of AEW Dynamite ended with the surprise return of Toni Storm, this time without her “Timeless” gimmick. Storm showed up after Mariah May successfully defended the AEW women’s world championship against Mina Shirakawa in the main event. Mariah was asked about Toni’s return as soon as she stepped through the curtain following her match. Mariah was pissed off and pretty much threatened to murder any woman who gets in her way, including Thunder Rosa. EXCLUSIVE: #AEW Women's Champion, @MariahMayx, gives her thoughts on what transpired on #AEWDyn ..read more

WWE NXT The ratings and viewership data are in for the Dec. 10 episode of WWE NXT on The CW. According to Programming Insider, NXT averaged 680,000 viewers and drew a 0.17 rating in the 18-49 year old demographic. These numbers are significantly up from last week’s 593,000 and 0.13, respectively. This was the fallout episode of NXT following Deadline, and the numbers bounced back from Eric Bischoff’s 2024 low-point for the brand. One of they key angles on this show was a despondent Ethan Page spiraling down the rabbit hole even deeper after failing to win the North American championship. Maybe ..read more

WWE and Netflix The WWE Network went away in the United States in 2021 when WWE signed a big money deal to license that content to NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming platform. WWE Network has remained in place for most of the rest of the world since then, but the service is shutting down on January 1, 2025, when WWE’s new deal with Netflix kicks in. Last month, WWE sent a notice to its international subscribers about the end of WWE Network, emphasizing that Netflix will be “the new exclusive home of WWE.” Per WWE, this means “Netflix will bring WWE’s electrifying content all to one place, includ ..read more

AEW’s YouTube Former Ring of Honor World champion Bandido has reportedly been ready to return from injury for a few months now. Last week on Dynamite, they started teasing his first appearance on AEW television since mid-2023... although when the video started I didn’t realize it was even part of the show. It seemed more like a well-made commercial or teaser for a b-movie western. On the Winter is Coming edition of Dynamite last night (Dec. 11), we got the continuation of “The Most Wanted” Bandido’s story. In this one, the lawmen and bounty hunters — who, based on my decades of movie and TV-w ..read more

But could he be back in time for Royal Rumble 2025 on Feb. 1 or WrestleMania 41 in mid-April? Based on what Logan said on the most recent episode of his Impaulsive podcast, it sounds like he could be done with WWE for good.
