Cole Eiserman scored twice and Cole Hutson scored a goal and an assist in Team USA's 7-2 win against Slovakia in the semifinals of the IIHF World U18 Championships in Finland. On Sunday, they'll face Canada who held on to beat Sweden, 5-4, in the other semifinal. The game will air live on NHL Network at 11 a.m. ET.
With his two tallies--both coming on power plays--Eiserman has tied Cole Caufield for the career NTDP record of 126 goals. After scoring 69 times as a U17, he has 57 this season. Those are the second and third best single-season marks in the NTDP. The two goals also move Eiser ..read more

Cole Eiserman scored a hattrick to pace Team USA to a 9-0 rout of Slovakia in the team’s opening game at the IIHF World U18 championships in Espoo, Finland. Cole Hutson, returning from missing several games due to an injury, opened the scoring with an unassisted tally on the rush. He also assisted on a goal, was +3 and logged a team-high 20:07 TOI. Kamil Bednarik assisted on three goals including two of Eiserman’s scores.
Eiserman now has 52 goals this season as well as 121 for his career, which is five shy of Cole Caufield’s record of 126.

Grad student Cade Webber signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs and has joined the team in Tampa as the Leafs prepare to begin the playoffs. A 2019 Carolina draft pick, his rights were traded to Toronto in March. Webber, who earned Hockey East Defensive Defenseman of the Year honors from Hockey East, set an NCAA record with 133 blocked shots this season and finished his BU career with 298 blocks and a +35.

Two days after signing a three-year contract with Montreal, Lane Hutson donned the bleu, blanc et rouge for his first professional game, a match-up against Detroit and his childhood idol, Patrick Kane. He became the 94th Terriers to skate in the NHL.
With his parents and three brothers looking on, Lane tallied the primary assist on goal on just his second shift of the game.

Scoring phenom Macklin Celebrini capped his freshman year by winning the 44th Hobey Baker Memorial Award in a ceremony in St. Paul that aired on the NHL Network. He joins Chris Drury, Matt Gilroy and Jack Eichel as Terrier Hobey winners.

Just like a year ago, a standout BU season ended in the Frozen Four semifinals as a Tristan Broz goal 11:09 into overtime gave the #3 Denver a 2-1 win and berth in Saturday’s championship game.
BU ends its second campaign under head coach Jay Pandolfo with a 28-9-2 record.

#2 Terriers will face off against the #3 Denver Pioneers in the first semifinal of the 2024 Frozen Four in St. Paul. Game time is 5 p.m. ET for the contest that will air on ESPN2 and be live-streamed on ESPN+. Announcers are John Buccigross and BU All-American Colby Cohen, who was Most Outstanding Player at BU's last national championship in 2009.
