My daughter turned 15, during Covid, wanting to be with friends, and a slumber party was out of my comfort zone. Disney has always been a love of mine – particularly Pooh and Piglet, and I can’t lie, I’ve binged Disney movies by myself. Then, when I had kids I had an excuse to binge them…over and over again. Okay, so my house needed a bath. I don’t know if it was all that rain or what, but I had green sludge growing on the side of my house. In addition, my concrete sidewalk was full of weeds and a dingy gray color, and my gutters looked like leaves had a “Motley Crew hotel party” in them. One of my very favorite holiday traditions is to have mommy and daughter time at the theater. I have taken my daughter since she was three to see BalletMet’s The Nutcracker at the Ohio Theater. The production is always beautiful, the theater is amazing, and it is easy to park. We typically do lunch beforehand (her choice, which many times is Cap City Diner) and make an afternoon of it. For parents who aren’t sure about a theater production with their young one, this is a perfect choice. Wow! It has been a long time since I have written, and I have due cause to today!  This was my summer of outside clean up. Pressure washing my home and getting the gutters to look “healthy” again was my mission. I also had to get rid of a couple of big pine trees in my front yard and find a good home cleaning company. Fall is here! Can you believe it? That means fun on the farm! We have a tradition with my daughter’s Girl Scout troop to go to The MAiZE at Little Darby Creek and tackle their corn maze. The MAiZE  is located in Milford Center, which is only about 40 minutes from Columbus.  Super easy to get to and super fun! They are open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until October 30. Admission prices are $9.00 and seniors are $4.50, you can add on a few bucks and get to shoot the corn cannon, take a hayride, and pick a little pumpkin.
