Because of the Texas Digital Library’s consortium membership in the Open Education Network, TDL member institutions are eligible to join OEN as direct institutional members at the reduced membership rate of $608 annually, a third of the standard annual membership cost. Institutions interested in pursuing direct institutional membership in OEN should complete this form by May 1, and OEN staff will follow up to answer any questions and continue the conversation. Our first quarterly DPLA harvest of 2024 has arrived, and we are excited to share over 100,000 items from Texas Digital Library member collections. SMU, UTSA and Houston Public Library all added new collections to their DPLA harvests this January. Texas Digital Library is pleased to participate with its members in a pilot project aimed at improving the discoverability and tracking of articles in U.S. repositories, led by the US Repository Network (USRN). Two TDL-hosted DSpace repositories — the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Repository and Texas Scholarworks at UT Austin — are included in the pilot cohort of 20 repositories. Using services from CORE, a not-for-profit aggregator service, metadata and full text articles from these repositories will be harvested and made findable through a centralized discovery service.
