Wondering if anyone has experience putting on seat covers to a 2016 volt?
I bought an LT a few weeks ago with fabric seats. I then bought a set of leather covers. Putting on the cover to the front bucket seats and the rear seat backrest is relatively straightforward. But putting it on the bottom cushion of the rear seat requires me to remove the cushion first.
I grab the edge and pull the cushion upward slightly, I see a stud/anchor at the middle of each side-seat. but i don't feel it...

I'm sure you have heard it here before, I finally got the dreaded call from the stealership informing me my 2017 volt "batteries are dead, will cost $20k to fix".
The car had the "propulsion power reduced" message show up, acted very erratic then would not move once parked with the "cannot charge" message showing up. This is the second time this happened, around a year ago same propulsion problem and no drive issue. Fortunately we were just under the warranty and the BECM was replaced...

I have a 2012 Volt that keeps throwing a bogus code about low coolant in the high voltage battery coolant reservoir. Not often, maybe once a year or once every 6 months. I have no idea why it is doing this. I tried the plug that basically hardwires the right resister to the leads. I checked and even cleaned up and resoldered the leads from the sensor where they go into the wiring harness and still, sometimes it just trips. When it does, the HPCM2 needs to be reprogrammed. I finally got...

I just bought a used 2019 Volt and I'm only getting 47km maximum fully charged. I've read everywhere that it's 85km. What is happening?

Hey folks,
I’m looking to program a spare key for my 2012 Chevy Volt (Gen 1) and was wondering what key programming devices you guys would recommend for this? I know some cars require special tools, so I want to make sure I get the right equipment.
Has anyone used a specific device to program keys for this model? Any recommendations or tips would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance ..read more

Hello everyone. I just wanted to share something that might help someone save money and time when it comes to dead TPMS sensors in gen 2 Volts.
My 2016 Volt that I recently purchased had 2 failed TPMS sensors. This would always make my tire alarm flash in the morning for a minute then remain lit for the duration of the car operation. Also, I...

I have a 2011 Volt , I have 147,000 miles on it, no problem with the car during the summer, some reduced propulsion would come on and go away, recently this winter it started going back and forth from gas to electric, even though I had electric miles left, on my way I got the engine not available and reduced propulsion, car started using battery only with the errors above , luckily I was able to make it home after the battery was used up, I was able to cut it off and back on again for the...

Hi, I'm considering a 17 volt with 100k miles for around 10k + tax. With used 30% ev rebate and CA utility/county rebates, of 1k-4k. For a final price under 5k. I never considered volt, and don't know much about them. I will have lots of mountain driving. Any issues I should be aware of. Seems like a no brainer decision for the price ..read more

I've had 3 Volts since 2013 ... Leased a 2013 and a 2016 then purchased a 2019. So, I guess you could say I love my Volt!
It is the perfect car for my lifestyle. I only need to fill the gas tank every 900-1000 miles!
I seem to remember someone asking if it was possible to configure the VOLT so the battery could be used as a battery backup for my home in the event of a utility power outage.
I never saw any answer ... Has anyone done something like this?
