Remember, when a democrat accuses the Right of doing something nefarious, it's usually projection for something the democrats are already doing or planning to have done. Like this: As an alternative to a primary election, Illinois law allowed for a party to get its candidates on the ballot for General Assembly spots by party slating procedure, along with collection of a requisite number of public signatures on nominating positions. A number of Republican challengers have been proceeding accordingly. But over the course of just 30 hours on the first days of this month, the Democratic supermaj ..read more

From that famous publication, The Onion: CHICAGO—Dismissing concerns that funds were being mismanaged, the Chicago Police Department vigorously defended its decision this week to buy an entire fleet of 1967 Ferraris. “We will use these babies to keep the community safe, and we will look badass while doing so,” said Chicago Police Superintendent Larry Snelling, who was facing steep criticism for the department’s decision to spend nearly one-third of its $2 billion annual budget on a fleet of 300 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4s. “To those who accuse us of spending extravagantly, I say to you: 300-hors ..read more

Sure sounds like it: Closing arguments for Whitley temple are moved to may 29 at 11am room 304 . There is also a possibility that judge can give her verdict the same day . There is big question that is being purposely kept quiet . In court it was revealed that Whitley temple had a job as a paid mayoral campaign coordinator. Anyone notice how no reporters are asking the mayor about his connection to temple ? Whitley temple and Brandon Johnson are from the same area so it is pretty clear who Whitley temple was a “campaign coordinator “ for... Ah yes....the Conehead Connection. They (Crimesha a ..read more

Anyone not see this coming? Anyone? The Civilian Office of Police Accountability has opened a preliminary investigation into complaints against Chicago officers at a pro-Palestinian protest near the Art Institute of Chicago on Saturday, officials confirmed. COPA opened a preliminary investigation to determine whether it or the police department’s Bureau of Internal Affairs will take over the inquiry into officer conduct. CPD said COPA had its “full cooperation” for the investigation but didn’t comment further. When the protestors grab fencing and wrestle with the police over it, then claim ..read more

Wasn't summer supposed to be the anti-COVID time? Fresh air, lots of Vitamin D in the sunshine. But that doesn't facilitate election year cheating: Two new COVID-19 variants are circulating, and they have the potential to evade immunity that could lead to a summer surge. The new strains are subvariants of the omicron variant, scientifically known as KP.2 and KP.1.1, but which have been nicknamed “FLiRT” due to the mutations on the strain. The FLiRT variants follow the same pattern as previous mutations, with the virus continuing to change to evade immunity and spread. You have to read deeper ..read more

Every week it seems, a new scandal. This time, evidence tampering and lying by omission: “[Thirteen] boxes or containers contained documents with classification markings, and in all, over one hundred unique documents with classification markings…were seized. Certain of the documents had colored cover sheets indicating their classification status. (Emphasis added.) See, e.g., Attachment F (redacted FBI photograph of certain documents and classified cover sheets recovered from a container in the ‘45 office’).” The DOJ’s clever wordsmithing, however, did not accurately describe the origin of th ..read more

"Accountability"? Hahaha

This would be great if actually true: Anonymous said... I have heard very serious rumblings that the Feds are demanding accountability from the city and CPD for ACTUAL manpower numbers. Suddenly they are concerned the Dem convention could be shut down or overrun by swarms of nutbags funded by…the Dems. We have been begging for years for adequate manpower to simply protect our taxpayers and now they have realized it will be impossible to lockdown a secure facility let alone the city. Unless you call in an armed National Guard, borrow a projected 75,000 police from outside municipalities and gi ..read more

This has what to do with teaching? Leaked documents show the Chicago Teachers Union is making incredibly costly demands of Chicago Public Schools – and therefore of taxpayers – in its upcoming contract negotiations. In addition to $51,000 average teacher pay raises, 45 days off each school year and handing cash to asylum seekers, CTU also wants teachers to be able to obtain extended leaves from school to go work for its own purposes. First, it’s demanding leave time for teachers to go work for its non-profit, the CTU Foundation. It’s also demanding teachers be allowed to go on leave to take ..read more

Someone must have heard the rumors that we did about the Art Institute backing off of charges? Police cleared a pro-Palestinian encampment at the University of Chicago in Hyde Park Tuesday morning. Campus police came in and dismantled the pro-Palestinian camp set up by students shortly before 5 a.m. Note that these were campus police, not CPD. The snowflakes were whining extensively: "It was traumatizing," said UChicago professor Uday Jain with Faculty For Justice In Palestine. "And it's a miracle that no one was injured. It's really a miracle given the level of chaos that the police were c ..read more

So we've been seeing a bunch of comments about how the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) is dropping or refusing to press charges for Criminal Trespass after CPD cleared the campus areas. First up, do we have verification? If SAIC is out of the process, then guess who is left holding the bag? There better be signed complaints on file or else it's the CPD and City of Chicago. In the bad old days, the police were used as bouncers and strike breakers by the robber barons. Why pay for muscle when you can have the taxpayers foot the bill?  That is pretty much what happened the othe ..read more
