Lightroom Killer Tips

Instead, jump straight to the panel you want to work in. Here’s how: Press Command-1 (PC: Ctrl-1) to jump to the top panel in your right side panels (in the Develop module, that would be the Basic panel. In the Library module, that would be Quick Develop if you’re using “LR Classic”). Command-2 (PC: Ctrl-2) for the Tone Curve panel. Command-3 (PC: Ctrl-3) for the Color MIxer panel. Command-4 (PC: Ctrl-4) for the Color Grading panel. …and so on, because the panel keyboard shortcuts correspond to the order your panels are in, from top to bottom (I mention that because you can change the order o ..read more

Mac Ventura Bug Affecting Droplets
Lightroom Killer Tips
by Rob Sylvan
5d ago
While not something I do a lot, there are a few situations where I use a droplet as part of my export process from Lightroom Classic (LrC). A droplet is a way to take a Photoshop action and make it an executable file that lives outside of Photoshop but allows you to drag and drop photos onto the droplet to run them through the action. Using them as part of the Export process from Lightroom Classic allows provides an easy way to drag and drop all the exported copies through the droplet and whatever action it contains. Unfortunately, there currently is a bug affecting some Mac users that causes ..read more

This week I’m flying to Budapest to meet up with my dear friend and KelbyOne Instructor, Mimo Meidany, as we’re teaching a travel photography workshop to 12 awesome photographers, and so I thought I’d share a quick tutorial from Mimo (who was our guest on The Grid) on his black and white look. Check it out below: Thanks, Mimo! I look forward to seeing him this weekend! Well, I’ve got thousands and thousands of shots to still go through from shooting two airshows this weekend, one at Ft. Worth NAS and the Sun n Fun Fly-in. I had a fantastic time at both (more on this later), but I’ll work on s ..read more

How To Keep From Scrolling Again and Again Through Your Lightroom Panels
Lightroom Killer Tips

This is how to use “Solo Mode” (one of my favorite Lightroom settings) to speed up your workflow. In Solo Mode, only the panel you’re currently working within is visible, while all the rest are collapsed out of sight but always just one click away. Check out the short tip below: Give that a try – you’ll love it! Here’s wishing you a better-than-average Lightroom Tip Tuesday! -Scott The post How To Keep From Scrolling Again and Again Through Your Lightroom Panels appeared first on Lightroom Killer Tips ..read more

How To Remove Darkening in the Corners of Your Image
Lightroom Killer Tips
by Scott Kelby

Hi, gang – hope you had an awesome Easter (and maybe checked out some UFL football, which was actually really fun). I know we talk a lot here about adding subtle edge darkening to our images, but in this case, we’re not talking about darkening the edges evenly all around — we’re talking about the other type of vignetting (the bad kind caused by your lens) that darkens just the corners of your image. Here are two different ways to get rid of it. Let’s go! Above: here’s an example of the corner vignetting we’re talking about (the type (caused by your lens) that I’m talking about (it’s not ..read more

Lightroom Killer Tips
by Scott Kelby

UPDATE: A very lucky photographer picked up the last ticket to my Santorini, Greece, travel photography workshop this April, so we are officially sold out. Venice/Dolomites and Norway’s Lofoten Islands workshops are still coming up later this year. Get on the early notice list at scottkelbyworkshops.com – OK, on to today’s tip: If you sync images over to Lightroom “mobile,” it’s either happening or going to happen, but some of your photos are going to get stuck in Syncing Hell where they just never sync. It says they’re waiting to sync…but they never do. See that “Syncing 14 photos” notice? Y ..read more
