Think of chocolate carrot cake as a cross between a Texas sheet cake, a Mexican chocolate cake, and a classic carrot cake. Or, just think of it as its own special treat because there really is nothing quite like it.
Cocoa powder, chocolate chips, cinnamon, pecans, and carrots create a showstopper cake, made even better with the addition of chocolate cream cheese frosting.
Ingredients
There are a lot of ingredients in this recipe, but the nice thing is that they are almost all pantry basics.

My vanilla cookies are not your average sugar cookies. They are speckled with vanilla beans throughout and the flavor truly shines. They are pillowy and tender with a texture similar to snickerdoodles. In fact, I like to call them vanilladoodles!
These cookies are incredibly simple to make and are wonderful to serve and eat any time of the year.
Ingredients
To give these cookies their intense vanilla taste, I use vanilla bean paste – a syrup made using vanilla bean pod seeds and vanilla extract. Vanilla bean paste can be hard to find in stores, so I suggest buying it online. An alternative t ..read more

Here’s one more reason to love your air fryer – air fryer churros! They are nearly as good as regular churros, way healthier, and you don’t have the mess of fry oil.
I made fried and air fried churros in the same day so I could directly compare the two. The air fryer ones were a lighter color and perhaps slightly more dry (not surprising), but they were really tasty. If I didn’t have the other ones right there for comparison, I probably wouldn’t have known the difference!
It’s worth giving this recipe a try for a special treat that is really easy to make.

Homemade churros are easier to make than you might think. The texture of these is spot-on – nice and crispy on the outside and soft and light on the inside. Plus, they’re extra good when dipped in my Mexican chocolate sauce!
The recipe makes enough for a crowd, but you might not want to share!

There are no unusual ingredients in this recipe. In fact, you may already have them all in your pantry.

This chocolate angel food cake is incredibly light and airy and deeply chocolatey. I top mine with chocolate whipped cream and fresh berries for a heavenly treat!
While I enjoy this cake year-round, I find it especially nice to enjoy on a warm day when heavy desserts feel like too much.
Ingredients and Equipment
This recipe uses superfine sugar, also known as caster sugar. Superfine sugar is, just as the name implies, a very finely ground sugar. Because it is so fine, it helps to keep the cake nice and light. If you don’t want to buy a whole package of superfine sugar, you can pulse regular ..read more
