This post, and the next couple that follow, are something a little bit different for me. The folks at JR Cigars shared line samplers of three of their Boneshaker brand cigars, and I have been looking forward to trying them. I started out with the Boneshaker line, what I assume is the original.  ..read more

I smoked a good variety of cigars this week, the next couple weeks will probably be featuring some retailer exclusive cigars, so I figured I'd mix it up. I had picked up the Knuckle Sandwich 56 Maduro on a recent visit to the Wooden Indian, it was on the high side of what I like to spend, but I wanted to try it.  ..read more

Don Doroteo came on the scene a few years ago, seemingly out of nowhere. I probably wouldn't have heard of them if not for a friend (who's presence in cigar media I miss), who went from brobering for them, to working for them, to stepping away from the cigar industry altogether. I didn't pay much attention to them after that, until another friend, one of the best PR guys in cigars, started working with them and sent me some samples.  ..read more

This week I smoked some cigars I bought on recent forays into some of my local cigar spots. All were new to me, although not necessarily new to the market. This happens, I don't always jump right on the new stuff, and sometimes I miss out! Thursday evening I met up with my fellow Craig, and recent contest winner, at Cigar Mojo - The Grove, to hand deliver his prize.  ..read more

I smoked some new stuff from General Cigars this week, both of which necessitated the use of my Adorini punch, which, in my opinion, is the finest punch on the market. Adorini makes some excellent humidors, I have two and they are rock solid in form and finish. I've had both for around ten years and they require zero maintenance. I just throw some bovedas in every few months and they are good.  ..read more

I stopped in to my local Cigar Mojo Thursday evening as the Rocky Patel rep, Alex, was stopping in. It was a fairly quiet evening there, people wise, not really sound wise. Between the air system and the music, I ..read more

It's probably quite apparent I have an affinity for the majority of the cigars in the La Sirena portfolio. I've been a fan of the brand for a long time. The La Sirena brand came into existence the same year I started this site, 2009.  ..read more

Here’s some Friday news from my friends at the Wooden Indian. I’ve only been patronizing the Wooden Indian for 14 or so of the 60 years they’ve been around. It’s one of my favorite local shops, the selection is amazing ..read more

This is going to be a relatively short post today, and a little different than the usual Sunday post. Friday evening we went up to The Leaf/Famous Smoke Shop in Easton, PA for a cigar. They were launching two new sizes in their Dunbarton Famous 80th line, a Corona Larga and a Gordo.  ..read more
