The rumors were true! EA re-released the first two Sims games for Windows PCs to mark the 25th birthday of the series. And they even fixed them to work on modern PCs! Kinda. Sorta. Ehh, an attempt was made. Still, I'm happy to see these exist on Steam and whatnot, so let's dive in and take a closer look at The Sims Legacy Collections from 2025! ● Become an LGR YouTube member to see videos early and more! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLx053rWZxCiYWsBETgdKrQ/join ● LGR elsewhere online: https://www.patreon.com/LazyGameReviews https://bsky.app/profile/lgr-yt.bsky.social ● Technical overview a ..read more

This is The End of LGR Donation Unboxing Videos
LGR

I'm calling it, folks! For a multitude of reasons which I go into at the end of the video, this is the final "donations unboxing" thing on LGR. I may still do individual vids on special items that trickle in through the mail over on LGR Blerbs, but these long mailbag videos are done for the foreseeable future on LGR. Hopefully the reasons I provide in the video make sense! ● LGR links: https://www.patreon.com/LazyGameReviews https://www.twitter.com/LazyGameReviews https://www.facebook.com/LazyGameReviews ● All background music licensed from: https://www.epidemicsound.com 00:00 LGR Mailbag vide ..read more

What survived the hurricane? Retro Oddities, Modern Tech, etc

When Hurricane Helene hit my home in Asheville, North Carolina in September 2024, two oak trees fell through the roof and wrecked the place. Including my upstairs living room and the main LGR vintage computer collection downstairs where lots of rain water leaked through, each causing water and mold issues. This part of the cleanup process is unboxing the moldy boxes, evaluating the damage, and cleaning the surfaces of things! Internal cleaning and testing is for later. ● Western NC is still recovering! What happened to the LGR collection
LGR

Two trees cleaved through my house after Hurricane Helene blew through my mountain home of Asheville. While I’ve shown that the damage to the structure is intense, many have asked what happened to the LGR retro collection, vintage computers, video games and such. So here’s an update! Of course the most important thing to me is that myself, my family, and my friends here are safe. But I am also deeply thankful it was not any worse in terms of items destroyed or damaged. The majority of old hardware and software survived, and LGR videos (eventually) will continue! ● Consider donating to local or ..read more
