RJ Hampshire had himself a weekend! Coming into Nashville where we had an East/West 250 showdown, RJ Hampshire was down double digits but whern the checkers waved, he was in control of the points lead. He joins us to talk about the weekend and of course, making Phil Nicoletti mad. Evan Ferry and Triumph cycles have agreed to part ways. It’s a wild turn of events early in their relationship, so we had Evan on to talk about it from his perspective. Filthy announced his retirement from racing at the end of the ’24 season and he’s on to keep us up to date on how the farewell tour is shaping up. L ..read more

Nashville! Cowboy hats. Bars. Bridal showers. Live music. This is what I think about when it comes to Nashville. However, we had Supercross blow into town on Saturday and it got crazy with crashes, East/West Showdowns, stuck throttles, blown shocks and lots more, so let’s dive in.
J Lawrence: Looks like Jett had something to prove and it showed as he pulled out eight seconds on a absolutely crazy fast looking Tomac. Jett never did anything crazy and it looked like he was taking his time once again, but if you go bak and watch the race again, watch how he makes time in corners, especially the ..read more

For this edition of Classic Ink, we are going to take a look back at ads for Suzuki’s 1980 motocross and off-road lineup.

The RM80 still lives on in the form of the RM85, but the 60 and 100 have long since been committed to the annuls of motocross history. In the seventies, both Suzuki and Yamaha produced machines for the 100 class but by the early eighties, interest in the class had waned to the point that both manufacturers stopped their production.
Today Suzuki seems to be at a crossroads in their ..read more

Another wet Supercross but it also provided dry/slick spots so Foxborough was hard for the riders to figure out. I walked the Foxborough track after the 450 main event a couple years ago and it was the most hammered track I have witnessed. It looked like Saturday night was also on another level so let’s dissect the racing a bit shall we?
Cooper Webb: Ehhhhhhh boy… All tied up now and the dog has a little taste of that sweet championship in his mouth. I normally would say this is not good for any other rider, but with Jett in the 450 class now it will be hard to crack him. However, if a ..read more

We are now 12 rounds into the 2024 season with 9 standard main event rounds and 3 triple crown rounds giving us 18 race starts to examine data from.
When comparing rider’s holeshot position to their end of lap 1 position, we can gain some insight to who has succeeded and struggled over the first lap.
Quick Notes:
Triple Crown races are treated the same as main events for this
A few tweaks are made to some of the holeshot data, correcting some errors
The “Start Position” data point comes from the AMA data – which is the rider’s position at the end of the first credited lap
Net Positions Gaine ..read more
