Outdoor ceremonies are my favorite to design. Transforming an open field, a backyard, a point overlooking the water into a memorable ceremony space to gather friends and family is a perfect place to get creative and set the tone for your wedding day. Now especially with so many weddings moving outdoors due to COVID-19 and becoming intimate in size, creating a special ceremony space is even more important to the overall design of your wedding day. Here are a few of my favorites from the past few seasons… This intimate Winvian Farm wedding featured our arbor covered with bright September blooms ..read more

This intimate whimsical September wedding at Winvian Farm featured bright lush seasonal blooms. After speaking with the bride for the first time I knew this was going to be both a gorgeous and fun wedding to design. I loved the bride’s love of bright blooms, patterns, and all the fun personal details she had in store for her wedding day. Her Monique Lhullier tea length tulle gown and stunning Tania Maras head piece was the perfect match for this ethereal day. A mix of corals, lavenders, blues, creams, blush pinks and yellows created such a happy atmosphere. Whimsical blooms such as Butterfly R ..read more

Escort card displays are one of the first things guests see on their way into the reception. It’s a great way to set the tone for the reception they are about to walk into. From classic and elegant to organic and natural here area few of my favorite escort card displays from the past few seasons. This tented private residence wedding featured green and white flowers with touches of blush and peach. We incorporated locally grown peaches, peach candles and seasonal blooms in this August escort card display. It was a striking table set to greet guests as they walked towards the tent. With the rise of outdoor wedding ceremonies, the decor has become more creative and all about creating a feeling of intimacy within a wide open space. Lush ceremony aisle decor has been the most sought after from my clients. Long, lush floral aisle runners, clustered candles and flowers at the base of each chair, or a low lying arrangement of blooms, all create a gorgeous aisle for the bride to walk down. And can be repurposed in the reception following in various ways. Here are a few of my favorites, starting with the first floral aisle runner I did back in 2011. This wedding ceremony ..read more

Here are a few of our favorite bridal bouquets of the 2019 season. Our brides leaned toward a more tailored lush bouquet, though still wanted textural accents and to have a garden inspired feel. Using lots of soft textures, seasonal local accents and overall romantic feel our 2019 bouquets were romantic and lush. Greenery was used as more of an accent this season not as much of a focal as in past seasons. The shape was leaning towards organically round or oblong. 2020 brides are requesting similar styles bouquets, noticing that brides are looking for less greenery and more dimension and wildne ..read more
