Pasadena Outdoor Family Photo Session

It was so sweet catching up with the Choi family at their outdoor family photo session in Pasadena. It feels like just yesterday that I had them in my home studio for Tyler’s newborn session and somehow, here he is, 6-months-old already! If you look through my photo archives, you’ll see that when I photograph newborns and young babies, they’re usually done in the studio. I usually recommend shooting indoors with young babies because it’s more comfortable for everyone—the baby can roll around in a cozy spot, parents can easily feed the baby, etc. But since we had done a photoshoot in my home ..read more

Pasadena Newborn Baby Photographer

As a newborn baby photographer, I love that I can facilitate sessions that are an opportunity for families to focus on their new baby. Baby Audrey’s newborn session was so relaxed and sweet, as you can see in these photos! Her mom, Vanessa, really got to savor these quiet moments, soaking in the snuggles and pampering her little mini-me! The fact that Vanessa brought Baby Audrey alone actually happened by accident—she also has a toddler-aged son, but due to scheduling, he couldn’t come along. While we couldn’t get any family shots or capture those precious sibling interactions, it was ki ..read more

This Pasadena newborn photography session is a little different from most other newborn sessions. As you scroll, you might notice that we didn’t do many of the traditional newborn shots of the baby all curled up tight or sleeping soundly. That’s because this little nugget was a little older than most babies at the time of their newborn session. At 6.5 weeks old, he was definitely more awake and ready to stretch out and explore his surroundings. I love that we were able to capture his beautiful eyes and the beginnings of some cheek chub and arm rolls! I know that in the past, I’ve sai ..read more

It was such a joy photographing Nikki at her one year baby photoshoot in my Pasadena home studio! I’ve actually been photographing the Pan family for years, beginning with their oldest daughter, Riley (see more from her shoot in the post Birth of My First Born) and more recently when Nikki was born (see Becoming Parents of Three). It’s been amazing to watch their family grow! As Mom and Dad added one sweet girl after another to their family, there was one constant through it all—their adorable fur baby, Leroy! He is such a watchful caretaker for the little ones (even though the older gir ..read more

Hilton Waterfront Huntington Beach Wedding

Oh, have I got a treat for you with this Hilton Waterfront Huntington Beach wedding! Diana and David pulled off a unique and glamorous beachside wedding that was a feast for the senses at every turn. A beach wedding doesn’t typically exactly exude fall vibes, but Diana and David’s amazing planners, A Good Affair, brought the warm moody feels with their thoughtful design choices. Their color palate of mauve, burgundy, peach, caramel, and cream, reflected in the florals and the cozy satin and velvet textiles was so elegant.    Their florals, by Square Root Designs, were ..read more

It’s double the cuteness in this Pasadena family photography session! I was so excited to welcome Vivian and Kenneth’s sweet family into my home studio, especially because I got to see their 6-month-old identical twins, William and Everett. Aren’t they scrumptious?! I seriously had trouble telling the boys apart during the shoot, but apparently I’m not the only one! Vivian and Kenneth said that they’re so much alike that the only way to tell them apart sometimes is to look for a birthmark!  Naked babies will never get old for me, especially when they’re a little more filled out at ..read more

Joshua Tree Elopement Photoshoot

This amazing Joshua Tree elopement photoshoot was a memorable one, but not for the reasons you might think. In lieu of a traditional wedding, Jin and Robert decided to elope and get married at a courthouse. They still felt that their marriage deserved to be documented, so we planned a photo session celebrating their elopement at Joshua Tree, one of my favorite places to shoot. Scroll on to check out more images of their elopement photoshoot!   You’d never know it by looking at these bright and glowing images, but it was freezing and incredibly windy in Joshua Tree that day ..read more

It was such a joy to host Baby Declan’s family for his 6 month baby photoshoot in my Pasadena studio! They were new clients and I was so flattered that they drove all the way from South Orange County to Pasadena for this session. I do feel that hosting baby photoshoots in my home studio sets us up for greater success because it’s a comfortable, homey environment that allows us to accommodate all their needs (for example, see how kitchen sink came in handy in First Birthday Photoshoot Celebration in Los Angeles). Declan arrived ready to play and it was such a breeze to get our desired shots ..read more

Lauryn and Bryan’s Intimate Wedding in Los Angeles wedding is a stunning example of an outdoor garden wedding in Los Angeles! The rooftop garden is an absolute floral dream. Lauren’s Galia Lahav gown was jaw-droppingly unique and covered with gorgeous lace. What a beautiful day, spent on a beautiful rooftop. The rooftop rose garden is even more gorgeous at night, lined with fairy lights. Perfect for portraits as a couple, and with family! If you’re looking for Beverly Wilshire Hotel Wedding Photography, I’d love to help bring your dreams to life. Contact me and let’s ..read more

San Francisco Family Portrait Photography

If you’ve had any experience trying to get family portrait photography done in San Francisco, you’ll know that you really must account for the weather. Unlike Southern California, where it’s sunny more often than not, in San Francisco, frequent fog and clouds can really dampen the scene. BOOK A SESSION For this family session, my client Terry (see more of her and her lovely family in their Joshua Tree National Park Family Session) had her heart set on doing it amongst the towering eucalyptus trees in the Presidio, so we both traveled quite a long way to get there. However, when we ar ..read more
