One of my favorite things to make are wreaths. I use 20 gauge wire to make a ring reinforcing it by wrapping more wire around it for strength. Then I make small little bouquets and wire those onto the ring, one little bouquet behind the other. You can use fresh flowers from your garden or sometimes I dry the flowers first. Here is a Summer wreath I made with dried flowers from the garden and soft eucalyptus greens from the market. Happy Weekend!    ..read more

It's been a while since I thought about posting photos or writing. I hope this finds you well and good!  We were busy getting this house ready to sell. It had been such a wonderful place to be during the winters. Surrounded by history and beaches and some of our family. We even made new friends that feel like old friends. Times have definitely changed over the last 2 years and quickly.  So we decided to head West again and back to what's familiar. We have a wonderful friend and realtor that helped us so the process flowed and our house found its new people. These simple photos are mo ..read more

It's been a slow summer with steady work to do. We've been outside for a lot of it, working in the garden or walking the parks and beach. Not much physical contact with others. I'm sure that's all part of what is real for most right now. Thinking a lot about how to incorporate native plants into child friendly gardens and hope to write more on that soon. Wishing you all a safe and beautiful Autumn and happy gardening!  making eucalyptus garlands and drying flowers.  ..read more

The time is whizzing by. Just finished a garden redo for a small business that needed an outdoor area for clients to distance while waiting for their services. They had many lovely containers that can be moved around easily in this space. I planted natives to the Pacific NW. I'll share more photos when things have grown in. There is also a small grass area for their adorable shop dogs. Hope you are all well!  Now Open.
