Hiking with distant views to the sea, climbing sweet limestone cliffs and swimming in the 23°C warm Mediterranean in December - Cyprus has lots to offer for those who are weary of rain, darkness and snow in winter! I was able to escape to this beautiful island in early December and enjoyed the hospitality, sunshine and beautiful nature. Disclosure: This trip was hosted by the local Tourism offices and ATTA. Small countries attract Martin and me. Often overseen because of their large neighbours, small countries fly under the radar. Which we love, as that way you get to hike often in relative peace on magnificent trails, with views which put larger trails to shame. The Route 66 and Liechtenstein-Weg are two such trails which don’t need to hide - superb infrastructure, inspiring views, friendly locals and the possibility of hiking through a complete country make Liechtenstein a world-class hiking destination! This was supposed to be our annual hike - a hike through a complete country in a few days, seeing a new corner of Europe with which we are not familiar. While we hiked through the complete country from South to North, it was not the hike we had planned… Disclosure: This trip was supported financially by the local tourism office. It’s white outside here in Vaasa and much of the Northern Hemisphere, and inevitably my mind turns towards skiing! At the moment the next trip towards snow-covered mountains is still a wee bit off, but telling you about my last trip to Vorarlberg with Björn makes the waiting time more enjoyable - and helps you plan your own visit to the secret spot of Warth-Schröcken! ReTyre Gravel Chaser Skins Review
Hiking in Finland

Last spring I installed the last time new tires on my Pelago Stavanger Bike - the reTyre One tires, which are compatible with a variety of reTyre Skins. During the past months I rode the Gravel Chaser Skin whenever the asphalt stopped and the off-road adventures started, and these skins gave me confidence when cornering and great grip in uneven surfaces. 2021 Bikepacking and Bike-Touring Gear Setup
Hiking in Finland
by Hendrik Morkel

Exploring the country by bike and camping out - bikepacking and bike-touring has been massively popular during the last year, for a good reason - it’s a much better way to go for a road-trip than by car, and you’re able to see more than by hiking. I too went exploring Northern Norway this “summer” (it was slightly moist!) and used a combination of traditional bike-touring Panniers and bikepacking bags, which allowed me to have all my kit close at hand while on the road. This setup has been working a charm for me and continues to serve me well on my local trips - a good reason to tell you more ..read more

Levi is known as a Ski Mecca in Finland, with Levitunturi being an amazing mountain with 360° views over Lapland and slopes going down in every direction. That this village also is worth visiting in the summer and autumn is a little known fact outside of Finland - and even here not many people know that Levi is a great destination for active people and families in the summer! Woom OFF AIR Review
Hiking in Finland

After many years of riding very happily on his woom Bikes it was once again to size up to the next one - but this time we decided to for the woom OFF AIR as it will allow us to go explore the local Mountain Bike trails! It of course also works great for riding to school and to the beach, as we have seen during the past three months, but it really shines on trails! Disclosure: The woom Bike was provided for free to us for this review.
