I spend a substantial amount of my day on my desk, typing away to glory. Most of the time I also end up eating my meals on it! And binge-watching on Netflix as well. And I’m sure that’s the case with most of us, since working from home became the new norm, and our home offices became our new hang-out spots. But having a great desk is really important. Simply a ‘good’ desk won’t do either. A great desk helps us work comfortably and effectively. It puts us in the right mindset, helping us achieve our daily productivity goals and checkmark all the tasks on our to-do list! Not only should our des ..read more

We often underestimate the importance of great office furniture! When in reality we really shouldn’t. We spend the majority of our day sitting on our office chairs or typing away on our desks whether we’re working in our home office or a corporate one. Hence, these pieces of furniture need to be not only comfortable but ergonomic, and aesthetic as well. And one such furniture design I recently came across for our modern-day office spaces is the Hybe seating collection.

Night-vision cameras do have a rather limited reputation because of how they’re portrayed in cinema. They’re mostly used by the military or the marines to hunt down terrorists, or by sci-fi spies to catch bad guys, but in all honesty, night-vision cameras are great for consumer-grade use too. From hunting and fishing, to night-life observing, camping, and hobby photography, night-vision cameras are a pretty nifty piece of gear to add to your outdoor kit. However, if you want a consumer-friendly night-vision camera that’s loaded with military-grade specs, the DuoVox Ultra has you sorted. Equip ..read more

As we anticipate the launch of the Ear (2), Nothing’s 2nd gen TWS earbuds, here is a look at what we can expect from the 2nd gen smartphone which should also drop sometime this year. The Phone (2) will, for the most part, look a lot like the Phone (1), barring a few minor design tweaks and hardware upgrades. Concept designer 4RMD put together this dapper-looking handset to show us what the Phone (2) could potentially look like. The rendered concept features the same aluminum chassis with a transparent rear, a slightly modified Glyph Interface to reflect the new 3-lens camera setup, and a 6.65 ..read more

With six buttons and three scroll-based inputs, the ASUS ProArt MD300 mouse is a nifty wireless gadget designed for digital creators, giving them control over their software. The mouse builds on the success of ASUS’ ProArt series of creator-focused machines spanning laptops, desktops, and displays. The mouse is a relatively new addition, along with other ProArt-branded accessories like a mousepad and even a backpack.
A key highlight of the mouse’s design is that ASUS Dial, located right underneath where you’d normally rest your thumb. Borrowing from the ASUS Dial seen on the ASUS ProArt Studi ..read more

Architecture studio SDA designed a concrete-frame home called the Floating House. Perched on the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City, the Floating House has been raised above the ground, to protect the home against the effects of flooding. The home is located in the Thu Duc district, which faces flooding quite frequently due to a nearby river. By elevating the home one meter above the ground, the studio was able to mitigate the adverse impact of flooding.

Our bodies are built differently and adjust in different ways to the same environment. Some like it cold, while others prefer a toasty space. There are also people whose body temperatures adjust more quickly, causing them to get cold or hot faster than others. The problem with air conditioners and heaters is that they are all-or-nothing solutions, adjusting the room to a temperature that may not be comfortable for everyone in the same space. The ideal but impractical solution would be to give each one their own personal air conditioner, but this smart home robot concept tries to offer a more ..read more
