When I check the "Read Sample" option on Amazon's website, I notice that most of the books have the same problem: superscripts make the line-heights inconsistent... You can see what I mean in attached screenshot. Is this problem present on actual Kindle devices or does the .kfx format provide consistent line-heights on contrary to the web page display? I recently saw the post by enterio about some features on the kindle scribe and MTP, and he mentioned third party dictionaries, which I was not aware were possible with kindles. so, can someone explain the method for this? I have a question concerning the (maybe not so recent) changes to the Kindle Scribe Firmware. I'm considering buying it only for reading. Hi everyone - so I have an old kindle that fell down and the shell broke. It's perfectly functional otherwise and works like a charm. However, because of the broken shell, I don't use it. I've added a study Bible to my Paperwhite. File is 32 mb. Lots of footnotes and links to take you to different parts of the Bible. It often, not always, causes my Paperwhite to crash not only while I'm using the Bible but sometimes when I'm reading other books. I do a restart and it works fine for a while. When I remove the Bible from my Paperwhite, no crashes. Reload and it starts to crash again so I know the problem is this book. The Bible works fine in my Kindle app on my phone. I'm having a strange problem. When adding an e-book to my Kindle device from Calibre using a USB cable, Calibre indicates it is there with a green check. However, after I eject the Kindle I cannot find the book in my Kindle library. As an experiment I used my wife's version of Calibre with my Kindle, and added the same book using the USB, and all is fine.
