I'm doing quite well and appreciated all the kind emails, messages, tweets, and calls. I'm taking a short break and vacation to ski, play on a beach, spend time with family and friends, and clear my head. I will be back full steam and departing Autodesk and excited about all the opportunities, impact, and adventures.
Please stay tuned and in touch reading Between the Lines (https://www.btl-blog.com/)

Some may have heard, but after 25 years at Autodesk, my current role was eliminated this week. I’m considering open internal roles at Autodesk or venturing back into the outside world. Still processing it all and disappointed, but it is forcing functions like this that always make for the best opportunities and growth. I only planned to be at Autodesk 2-3 years and then go back to the design world so it has been a bonus 22 years and amazing friends from customers, partners, industry, and colleagues.
What a wild ride and adventure
During my time at Autodesk, I had the privilege of serving in ..read more

Today, I celebrate and acknowledge the 41st anniversary of Autodesk's founding on January 30, 1982. Over the past 41 years, Autodesk has established itself as a leader in the design and engineering software industry, and has played a significant role in shaping the way professionals in architecture, engineering, construction, and media and entertainment industries work.
One of the biggest highlights in Autodesk's history is the release of AutoCAD in 1982. AutoCAD, short for "Automatic Computer-Aided Design," revolutionized the way architects, engineers, and construction professionals design ..read more

On January 19th, 1998, I was a Mechanical Designer in Portland, Oregon, and just joined Autodesk and moved to the SF Bay area, thinking sure, I could work on the AutoCAD and Beta teams for a couple of years, then move back to the customer side. Autodesk was such a good fit for my passion for design, customers, colleagues, and technology Autodesk that it is 25 years since joining, and I am still excited. I'm so grateful to all my colleagues, mentors, leadership, customers, partners, and family as I could not have done this without everyone..
