Autocompletion is awesome and makes using PowerShell so much easier. Typically, though, the autocompletion data is provided by the engine or your function. That’s why autocompletion is available predominantly for technical things such as paths, types, or prefixed lists and enumerations. They are typically not able to adapt to the needs of users, i.e. suggest computer names in use in your infrastructure. And you as a PowerShell author can’t help this because you don’t know the suggestions that would be useful for a user of your function. Let’s change that. If you missed it, go to powershell.video for the recordings. Turned out that’s a tool Google uses to regularly scan the computer for unwanted software that may negatively affect Chromes performance. Even though PowerShells intention originally was to do away with user interfaces and automate, it became so successful that it today is a valid rapid development architecture for small tools and software, so GUI creation always has caught a lot of attention. Due to Corona, we were unab ..read more
