Heesen have announced the delivery of 50m (164ft) superyacht CINDERELLA NOEL IV – previously known as YN20150 – following her christening in December last year and subsequent successful sea trials in the North Sea.

42m sailing yacht LEGATO has been launched by Mengi Yay Yachts from the Tuzla shipyard in Istanbul, Turkey. Previously known as NB108, the shipyard collaborated with exterior designer Ginton Naval Architects and the interior design team from Wetzels Brown Partners, while keeping her naval architecture in house.

Launched back in November 2023, 74m (242’7”) superyacht NOME, has now been spotted on sea trials close to Vlissingen, the Netherlands. Feadship have launched their 91.5m (300’) superyacht PROJECT 1012 who we first saw leaving the shed in May 2022. She has been at the Makkum facility in the Netherlands ever since before her launch this week.

Planing yachts are generally faster and more agile than displacement yachts because they have less volume touching the water and have a v-shaped hull which creates lift. They are usually better suited to shorter voyages but use less power, increasing fuel efficiency.
