My loves! My week in dot points: I started the week with a long to-do list for work, and ended the week with a long to-do list still to go. I did finish & present a new Academy workshop on Launching though, 2 new presentations created and recorded, plus 2 podcast interviews done. Have to take that as a win. Oh, Thursday was a public holiday as well. Is it Mercury retrograde or some other kind of planetary fuckery? Had a few tech and comm snafus which made my little brow furrow. Started & finished Emily Henry’s “Funny Story” in a day. Freaking DELIGHTFUL. All her romances are my favou ..read more

(The blonde wig is giving major Taylor Swift vibes, and I am HERE for it!!!) Today, I’m sharing my origin story. Who was Leonie before the successful multimillion dollar business? Before the blog? Before I was a Dawson with a gorgeous hubby and two incredible mermaid daughters? Before the ADHD/ASD diagnosis? I’m telling it all today. Pop in those airpods again, babes. No vagina talk this time, but swearing around these parts ..read more

A New Era of the podcast!

Friends, I am SO excited to share the newest era of my podcast with you! For a while now, I’ve been dreaming of a new vision for my beloved podcast. It’s been amazingly successful already with over 150,000 downloads, but I wanted to take it to the NEXT LEVEL. I could see a vision of myself in a recording studio, doing it with a friend to make it TRIPLE the fun, and making it into a video as well. I knew straight away who I wanted to co-create it with as well – one of my very favourite playmates and dear friends, Madi Beaufort. I met Madi 5 years ago, and she’s a walking heart on legs. Her jo ..read more

This weekend is my littlest baby’s birthday. She is TEN! Can you believe it? It’s been ten years since I survived hyperemesis gravidarum to bring her into the world (remember my bootiful lil illustrated zine about it?) Mermaid Daughter #2 is the most radiant, bouncy, excitable, gorgeous soul. I feel SO ridiculously blessed that I followed that midnight vision that another soul needed me to be her mama. She has been such a huge gift to all of us. I don’t share photos of my family online anymore (I shared more about why here), but picture her as a lanky strawberry blonde fairy who looks ..read more

My love, I’m going through something that feels really big right now, and I wanted to offer it up incase it resonates with you. I don’t know if there’s something planetary or energetic woo-woo going on, but here’s how it feels for me: The past couple of weeks have felt like a series of fires in my personal life. There’s been arguments and tears and heartache and confusion. While my little family unit is stronger than ever, currently everyday feels like a new fire crops up. School issues, extended family issues, arguments, my kids going through hard things. I feel like my job right now ..read more

Dearests, From time to time I like to share with you my notes & quotes from books I’ve inhaled. Like Cliff’s Notes, but more Leonie’s Notes, so way more rainbowy & unicorns! Some previous book notes I’ve shared: Getting Things Done The Millionaire Booklet Atomic Habits Billionaire In Training Raising Readers Order from Chaos This year I’m committing to reading 50 non-fiction books. Usually I read between 100-400 books a year anyway, but I’ve noticed I’ve been reading a lot more fiction lately. Time to get some more nutrient-dense non-fiction in! Today I’m sharing my notes with you f ..read more

Dearests, I have a new type of goal this year… I want to read 50 non-fiction books in 2024. Now ya’ll know me… I’m an absolute bookworm anyway. ? ? I usually read between 100-400 books a year anyway. You can check out all my best books lists from the last 12 years here. I’ve been noticing in the last few years that I’ve been reading less non-fiction though – I’ve been in a real novel phase. Which is gorgeous and fun… but I’d love to add back in more of the nutrient-dense non-fiction as well. So far this year I’ve already finished: “What About Men” by @mscaitlinmoran. EVERYTHING this woman wri ..read more

Dearests, I love when Austin Kleon writes his 100 Things list for the year. I shared my list in 2020, in 2021 and in 2022. Now here we are again. A tradition. Not quite as long running as my Best Books of the Year lists, but I’m working on it! Here’s what I did, loved, watched, experienced this year: I returned to social media after two years away. I have really strong boundaries and systems for using social media now – I teach about them as a bonus in Marketing without Social Media. At the moment, it’s all feeling pretty good! Settled our two mermaids into a new school. It was a big ch ..read more

My loves, My kids are back in school after 7 weeks off. I feel like I say this all the time, but I really do love having them home on holidays. We’re just SO GOOD at slothing about together, playing games and making art. We’ve also been working on a big group project patchwork graffiti style artwork that their friends (and even one of their friend’s mum!) added to. There’s still some more to add to, but gosh it makes me happy. (The dragons are from my Wings of Fire obsessed 9 year old! She loves doing enormously intricate dragon drawings ? while she listens to the audio ..read more
