Luke 23 is the chapter of the Cross. It, to me, is best described as a chapter of sound, of voices mostly. It requires reading with our imagination. We have to let our minds hear all that happens. Jesus has been betrayed, arrested, denied. He stood disowned. His own people have purposed to forsake Him. […]

The Apostle Paul declared in II Corinthians 5:14 that "the Love which Christ has for me presses on me from all sides, holding me to one end and prohibiting me from considering any other ... " When we abide in living communion with Him and His Words abide in us, we get to know that Love, and it gives us great, child-like audacity to ask Him anything our heart desires. True prayer is relational, not religious.

Do I try to provide for my wife beyond the provision of God? Do I seek a house for her when God intends for an apartment? Do I seek a car for her when God intends buses and trains? Perhaps I seek interest bearing long-term investments when God desires mission trips and a stay on […]

Proverbs 10:24 “The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted. “ Job 3:25 “For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.” We can surmise that, like faith, fear sets a […]

Two mites. It was all that she had and she gave it away. She tossed those small coins into the treasury at the Temple in Jerusalem, according to Luke 21. There, amid the large donations dropped in by the wealthier ones in the community, these mites would seemingly get lost. They were not lost to […]

Jesus talked and He got people talking. His words carried an authority that listeners could sense, if they were listening with the right motives at heart. At the end of Luke 19, we read that His teaching took His listeners captive. What they were hearing changed them. Why? Because it was Good News. He declared […]

“He rests in His love.” Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people.” Deuteronomy 7:7 Have you ever wondered about the significance of God’s love? What is it? What does it do? […]

Knowing "the Love that God cherishes for us" is the key to remaining stable and fixed in these unstable times. This is "first Love" mentioned in Revelation 2:4, to a church that was doing everything right and well - which the Lord acknowledged as good and commendable, but not the main thing He was looking for. How will the Love of Christ be manifested and the works of the devil destroyed, unless we FIRST know practically, believe unwaveringly, and embrace unrelentingly the Love that He has for us? Let's receive Grace to return to "First Love", be rooted in it and founded securely on it, and re ..read more

Jesus approached Jerusalem. He rode upon a borrowed donkey. The sight of the city of David broke the heart of the Son of David. Jesus wept. He wept as He did at the tomb of Lazarus. There, as we read in John 11, Jesus called His friend back from the grave. There was rejoicing in […]
