1. If you could have one superhero power, what would it be?
I have always thought it would be amazing to speak and understand any language. To communicate with anyone in the world. As it is, I don’t really speak a second language though I’ve studied French and Italian and in New York I’m always encountering people from other countries. I am in awe of those who speak five or more languages. My super power would be to speak them all.

WheelHouse Art is deeply disheartened to share news of the passing of another long-time gallery artist Barbara Young at the age of 89.
Barbara Young graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1957 with a B.S. in Design. Later she studied printmaking at Edgecliff College, Cincinnati, OH.
Her extensive career included nearly four decades of representation in Louisville, KY with Swearingen Gallery in Louisville from 1977 - 1994, and B. Deemer Gallery/WheelHouse Art for the past two dozen years.

WheelHouse Artist Sabra Crockett work freaquently references ecological and environmental issues, and humankind's impact on nature. Her work addresses the challenges and celebrates the successes of wildlife whose existence has been threatened by habitat loss.

It is with a heavy heart WheelHouse Art shares news of the passing of long-time gallery artist Carolynn Plochmann at the age of 97.
Carolyn Gasan Plochman was born in 1926 in Toledo, Ohio, the only child of Edward and Elizabeth Gassan. She describes her midwestern upbringing as a lyrical blend of aestheticism and the Protestant work ethic. [Matthew F. Daub]
