Look at me, y’all!! Another blog post!! I told ya I’d start cranking them out!! LOL… but let’s not get ahead of ourselves… who knows if this will last! But alas, it’s finally the best time of year— FALL! In the past, I have waited way too long to switch my house decor over from the summer decorations to the Fall. Then before I know it, it’s time to put the Christmas stuff out— but NOT THIS YEAR! This year I am prepared— (probably because I have one less full-time job— SHEW! Life is good!!) Anywho, I decided I really wanted to keep my blue & white ginger jars out for my Fall table. (But le ..read more

A Night at the Kentucky Castle

One thing in the winter that starts to get to me is not being able to get out and see and experience new things. This is probably when I start wanderlusting (I know this isn't a word, but I'm going to make it one!!) the most and start planning trips to anywhere and everywhere for the spring and summer. Luckily, this winter John and I went on a little adventure for our "Valentine's Day celebration" just down the road to The Kentucky Castle! From our house in Lexington, it took about 10 minutes to get there-- but it felt like we were in another country! It had snowed all weekend, so t ..read more

THREE WEEKS IN SOUTHEAST ASIA I have been procrastinating on writing this, because I'm not exactly sure where to begin-- much like how I felt when first starting to plan this trip (ahem, two weeks before we left).  Therefore, I'm going to keep it simple; give our basic itinerary, things to know, and of course LOTS OF PICTURES! :) That's all anyone wants anyways-- right?! Going about planning a trip like this is never easy, so hopefully this guide will give you a starting point if you want to go to this part of the world-- which I highly recommend.  We narrowed down to 3 countries in ..read more

Framing can get super complicated, but it doesn’t have to be! I put together this quick guide to hopefully simplify everything for you with easy to buy links and a few tips and tricks. Hey friends! I’m so excited to share our little baby nursery— because let me tell you. It was a LABOR. OF. LOVE. This room upstairs, used to be my at home art studio, so as you can imagine, it was A MESS! There was paint all over the floors, tons of holes in the walls from hanging my paintings, and there were supplies and junk everywhere! It was in desperate need of a new paint job and a lot of TLC. The quarantine came at a great time, because it allowed John to have time to fix everything up (and gave him lots of projects to do). He filled all the holes in the walls, sanded and painted, adde ..read more

Weekend Getaway to Charleston

Charleston was a dream this past weekend! For my birthday and for our long weekend, John and I decided to head to South Carolina for a few days to relax! John had never been to Charleston, so I knew it would be the perfect place to go— plus it really isn’t a bad drive from Lexington— only about 8 hours.  It is such a beautiful city, and is honestly my favorite in the USA. It’s got it all— shopping, an open air market, amazing food, beautiful hotels, tons of activities, horse drawn carriage rides, incredible architecture, ghost tours, and so much more.  THINGS TO DO: The Histo ..read more

BABY NORD COMING MAY 2020! More specifically DERBY DAY 2020! Can you believe it?! We still can’t! John and I are so excited and grateful for this next chapter of our life together and can’t wait to meet this little blessing in May! It’s been so hard keeping it a secret— but we are so happy to finally share our big news! Bulleit knows something is weird, but hasn’t quite figured it out yet. I found out on August 28th, which happened to be the day of the Maker’s Market at Springhouse, so I was super busy and stressed. John was already at school and I randomly decided to take a test. Much to my ..read more
