COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Greater Columbus Arts Council board of trustees approved $762,200 in Project Support grants at a recent board meeting. Grants were awarded to 64 nonprofit organizations. Project Support grants provide funding to Franklin County nonprofits for a broad range of arts and cultural projects, events and programs. To review and score the grants, the Grants & Community Engagement department hosted two Community Review Days on May 30 and 31. COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC) announced today the recipients of its new Artist Projects grant. This is the first grant in which applications were reviewed and scored by community members. COLUMBUS, Ohio – The board of trustees of the Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC) approved 497 Funds for Artists grants totaling $247,522 from Feb. 1 through April 30, 2024. Funds for Artists grants are awarded on a rolling basis throughout the year; artists have through October to apply for awards. We recently published a State of Public Art report for Columbus and Franklin County and I’d like to take a few minutes to talk about it. First, a little context. Last summer we started the process for developing a countywide public art plan. We did this with the support of the city and county.
