Elijah is a character who simply appears on the scene in thebook of 1 Kings chapter 17, with no introduction other than where he is from, Tishbe in Gilead.  Being from Tishbe would likely make him a descendant of Ishmael, the “other” son of Abraham.  What better messenger to humble the nation of Israel and call them to repentance than a descendant of Isaacs brother from another mother, who stood outside of the covenant relationship of God and Israel, and yet faithfully obeyed and spoke for the God of Abraham.  Join us as we look at his prophetic ministry in Israel to see what it ..read more
